FMIC and revo results

Collected my car today after getting Forge FMIC fitted and a Revo remap so i thought i would share my results

My initial impression is that it is not like i expected it would be. I had imagined that it would drive the same but just have a bigger surge of power when it normally kicks in- instead it appears that the power surge has gone, which I assume is because the power continues up the rev range therefore there is not such a noticeable 'peak'. Because of this, when i first started driving it seemed like the car was not as fast but looking at the speedo i was going a lot faster than i thought it was!
I haven't had a chance to properly test the car yet so am undecided on my verdict but so far i am happy and just need to get used to the power delivery

Had I been in your shoes, I would have been satisfied with what I had and left well alone. Another example of a so-called standard engine producing over what it should (with a little help from the air intake and filter).

Are you using BP Ultimate (Cetane 55)? That's the set up I have in mine just now (ie no remap or FMIC) and it runs great throughout the rev range with no flat spots anywhere, and minimal soot. I had thought about a C-C remap, but because it's running fine have been undecided.

I had already bought the FMIC and had the dyno runs done the same day it was fitted so was already committed! Forgot to say it had a cat- back Miltek fitted before as well as the filter/intake. I use standard city diesel with a shot or two of Millers, which i did find helped a bit with consumption but didnt notice a power difference.

Although the figures do not seem much different, the car definitley drives better and is noticeably faster. In the future I will prob get a custom map with an uprated clutch but am happy with this for now- my current inusrance policy would only cover me up to 170bhp as well

Mine got 161bhp, 301lb.ft at the wheels with C-C stage 1 and FMIC
