Ok some of you with good memories will remember what i did when i was looking for a decent spot for a cold air feed on my LCR. for those of you that dont the link is

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=119969

Everything is working very well and im really pleased with the feed but i have been looking for a way of evening up the look on the front of the car, as removing both fogs and having one shiney feed looks strange. other than putting a shiney blank behind the drivers foglight grill my only other option seemed to be to make another feed.

once i fitted my FMIC everything seemed to click into place and i could now see exactly how i was going to do it but i needed to find and make some parts.

i started by looking for a 'T' or 'Y' piece and found this in wickes which i modified to fit over my existing scoop. here the Y and it fitted to the scoop

this will effectively sit inside the bumper below the nearside headlight.

i then had a very hard look for a decent bit of piping and found some awesome tubing which i recommend you all look at if you are thinking of doing any cold air feeds. its extremely tough and flexible and a bit cheaper then ducting found on ebay. heres the link http://www.cisdirect.co.uk/products.asp?cat=137

next i made another shiney feed for the offside

and had to find a way of connecting to the new tubing..... wickes to the rescue again...

and here it is fitted together

Now all i have to do is fit it to the car which will probably be friday as i am taking the bumper off again....

I cant wait.... if the gains on the logs are as good as for the first foglight scoop then i'll be over the moon if i see something similar for the second :)

sorry I don't mean to be a wet blanket, its a good piece of work, but why???

surely two feeds won't make any performance/sound difference? it won't reduce the likelihood of a waterlock, either....

you can never have too much air mate and i've never been worried about getting waterlock either... we've just had the wettest june since records began and i drive 50 miles of country roads monday to friday, with no problems what-so-ever.

people always seem to worry about water. you would have to drive through a river for it to be a problem and if you did you deserve the hassle.

yeah i agree the 80mm hosing can still only take in the same amount of air regardless of 1 or 2 inlets
look at it this way if you get a vacuum cleaner on put another hole any where along the hose you dont get any more section from doing it
all that happens is that the current airflow is divided between the 2 holes and there for creates less suction

but the whole idea is to get positive pressure so youre not sucking.... your forcing air in. if youre sucking you've got some restriction.

the logs prove that two are better than one and i'm very very happy with it, so i'll leave it there.
