There so many manufacturers of HID's now it's kinda hard to tell who is good or bad, my ballasts are from someone on here and the the bulbs I bought from ebay, I don't have any issues with them considering there isn't a brand name on them anywhere.
The bulbs I bought where from a British seller but have no English anywhere on them.
The ballasts look like typical "We'll make it look genuine for the Europeans" too with an "almost" genuine looking E Mark symbol.
But like it has been said in this thread, for £35 you can't argue, I paid £40 for the ballasts (and original - non high beam bulbs) and another £48 for the High/Low bulbs after that...

Mine gets all it siganls from the car from the LHS headlight plug, just done a very quick drawing to show the wiring I put in place for mine. I only missed one wire out and thats the one that controls the Hi/Lo magnet in the bulb itself.
Just make sure all the contacts from the car are tight and make sure none of the pins in the HID wiring are bent when you are pushing them together. Also if the cabling has earth cables make sure these are secured tightly to a good earth point.
Also remember the bulbs take about 30secs to get to full tempreture, as mine flickr for about this amount of time when I switch on for the first time.

Does it flicker all the time or just when starting(warming) up?
Some hid manufacturers say some flickering is normal during this time.
If happens all the time you may have a dodgy bulb, I know you said they are un-used but even new stuff can be faulty.
Swap the bulbs over to see if the fault transfers to the other side.
They dont seem to flicker all the time, it will do it while it warms up but then also when im driving occasionally and stationary. I will swap the bulbs over later on and see if goes to the passenger side

Thanks, i checked over the connection last night and they all seem to be connected correctly and i couldnt see any pins bent. I will have to check my earths again later on.
i did notice that i had 2 connection on 1 wire and 1 stays unused, so i swapped them over and it kept the light on high beam but it still flickered, but not as much as before.

I have a spare pair of working H4 size bulbs... Low beam only mind you no high beam

thanks but i need the bulbs with the high and low beam. i went to halfraud today and a replacement was more than i paid for the kit so ebay it is.

Bulb you mean?
thats what i meant. ive had to put my old lights back in until i can get a new bulb.
