has anyone used e-tec hids?

Has anyone used e-tec 6000K hids? what are peoples thoughts, good or bad?

its a set my mate is offering me he bought them for his beemer. hes asking for about £35 before he puts them on ebay. i cant find any information on them.

I can`t find anything on them either.
Do you know what type of bulbs they have?
mk4 ibizas take either a H4 or H7 depending on model.
You may have to buy a pair.

they are for the H4 bulb, high and low beam which is what my car has got. its a complete kit from what ive been told.

i thought the price wasnt too bad, i was just checkingi wasnt buying something that was rubbish. i cant understand why there isnt any information on them. im going to risk it and see how they go. thanks for your help.

No problem! Just remember to adjust your lights after fitting.
Not trying to be patronising, it`s just that a lot of people don`t seem to bother doing this!

its fine, i had someone with hids drive past me earlier and practically blinded me. so i will deffinatly do that.

^^ I'd take them and try them out - you could pay that for a set of Phillips X-treme vision bulbs at some places! The cheapest price for the Bi-Xenon kit is about £70

Worst case scenario is they pack in after a few thousand miles and you've got two holes cut in the back of your headlight covers (which cost about £5 from the dealers)

I`m waiting on some 4300k bulbs and when I fit them I`m going to try finding a more hidden place for my ballasts.

yes, 6 months wore them with the kit 5000º. when I can put photos of the climb.

Follow the link in my sig to see what I done with mine, I have to replace my left hand headlight unit so may put them somewhere else then. To adjust them there are two white screws on top of the headlight unit on either side, use a allen key to turn them. Important to note the one on that is nearest the centre of the car is the one that'll move the beam pattern up or down.

On the image below you can see the back of the adjuster to the left edge of the photo, the allen key position is out of view on the top headlight unit. If you have a look yourself as to where they are it's quite easy to see.

Best to park about 15ft from a wall like I did to check and photograph the beam pattern first with the halogens to replicate it with the Xenons. When doing this put the bulb adjuster in the car to "0" so that when you put the Xenons in and replicate the beam pattern you'll know that even on the highest setting you won't be blinding people.

I still have to get a photo of the re-aligned Xenon's against the same wall to show the adjustment.

just fitted the hids with no problems (didnt even have to drill a hole in the covers to fit them), then i was driving home and the drivers side light started to flicker, ive checked all the connections and they seem fine, anyone had this happen before?
