Help

My car (02 Leon Cupra) was supplied with one remote key and one standard key.

If i was to purchase and additional remote bit:-
a. could I use the key blade from my standard key
b. could I swap the chips etc.
c. could I re-program with vag-com.

If this is a dealer only solution, I probably won't bother.

A) Not sure the standard key will fit into the flip key as they seem to be a slightly wider shape. Plus are moulded into the key. I'd also be interested if anyone has done this.

B) The chip for the immob can be moved over with no probs as long as your very careful.

C) You don't need vag-com to repgram the CL. It can be done using your car door and looking in the owner manual (resync remote procedure)

Finally make sure you get a flip key that matches the frequcency of your old one and some have suggested even the make. (However it gets complicated as some have reported some fobs working, even though the frequencies are different).
