erm wtf?

think you'll actually fine its a bit more than that:

invoice with prices and partnumbers for mine are here:

£762+Vat...plus a new bumper, unless you don't mind hacksawing your FR bumper somewhat to clear the hoses.

If I were you, I'd speak to Forge - see if they're developing a FMIC for the Ibiza MK4, as they might well be able to do something which wont (a) cost quite as much and (b) require a new bumper.

thanks

Also, i saw the pics of your front intercooler with the bumpers off, I know you wanted to keep a standard sort of look, but i thought some of the pipes ( the standard ones you used) looked a little restrictive, especially the top one, in plastic, seems to have loads of kinks in it, would a custom made silicone hose not be better,

Did you notice much difference overall though,

This is the first time I hear you really need to change the intercooler when you want to fit Cupra bumpers on a Ibiza sport...

On a french forum some guys also changed the original bumper but they didn't mention this problem.

So my question is it really necessary??

no you misread what I said.

I said if you fit the FMIC, you have to change the bumper, unless you cut the bumper.

you read it as if you change the bumper you have to fit the FMIC.

Lucky me... Because I was planning to fit a front and rear Cupra bumper...

By the way, we've got the same color... And you're the only one I've seen untill now with Blue cupra bumpers. Over here in the Netherlands I haven't seen it at all...

 DAM I'm too eager haha. I was kinda hoping the new FR petrol had a FMIC just looks that way in all the pics I've seen and stuff but if not, I'm gonna start saving for it. Still havn't even got the car yet though :)

Pretty sure mine is the standard fare

Because of the bigger mesh area on the facelifted FR it does look like an FMIC due to being able to see the radiator quite clearly, but if you crouch down and look carefully through the driver's side fog light surround mesh bit you can just about see the SMIC nestling away almost out of sight.

The issue is that the Cupra bumpers will cut off most of the airflow to the side-mounted intercooler. This will be a problem if you're running a remap as intake temps can get too high and the ECU will cut power....
