Model Year 24/25 Adding Blind Spot Detection to 2025 Cupra Formentor: Is it Possible?

"Hello, I recently purchased a 2024 Cupra Formentor 1.5 eTSI. However, my vehicle does not come with the blind spot monitoring feature or the 360-degree camera. Is it possible to add these features to my car later on?

After doing some research, I was told that the door trim would need to be replaced, as the blind spot LED cannot be integrated into it later on. This increases the cost. Is it possible to integrate the LED into the door trim, or can the necessary parts be found for this? Is this something that's feasible?

Since the other parts are commonly used, I believe I can easily source them. What do you think?

I'm a bit unsure about adding the 360-degree camera later, as it requires a lot of parts. Has anyone done this before?

We can perform the configuration changes remotely

It’ll never officially be possible aside from genuine accessories

I don't want to criticize your work, but how do you code the SFD 2 modules? As far as I know, the control unit always has to pass on the entire long coding to VW because of the checksum of the encryption. And according to my information, VW checks every coding request and rejects such requests. Or do you have a contract with VW?

There are organizations that provide this service in my country, but the price seems a bit too high for me. Therefore, I would like to at least procure the parts myself and have the coding done at a suitable place

They said they could provide this service

He said that the reason it is expensive is that the LEDs for the blind spot system in the ambient lights near the door cannot be added later, so the entire plastic trim of the door needs to be replaced.

Package Contents:
  • 2 Blind Spot Radars
  • 2 Door Trims
  • Wiring Harness

The method isn't important, what's important is SFD2 isn't an issue for us :)
