Driving mode button

I have a 2013 FR SC (3door) and when im selecting driving modes i have to press the drive select button (the one next to start/stop deactivation) and then I have to press on the touchscreen to select the mode I want.

But I have seen that some Leons on youtube have a feature where if you just press the drive select button it cycles trough the different modes so that you dont have to use the touchscreen. But when i do click the drive select button twice it just makes the screen appear a then dissappear right after i press it again.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Ive updated my frimware to the latest version for my Mib1 standard system that i have and it has not fixed it.

Drive modes are based in the diagnostic gateway, not in the infotainment system. It's likely a gateway update would be beneficial, it's also likely there's lots of other updates outstanding for the car given the age. It'll be one of the first Mk3s

As someone without any diagnostics tools like obdeleven or vcds, is it possible to update the gateways?

No. Even with OBDeleven/VCDS you still cannot perform updates
