I have a Cupra Formentor V2 on a 22 plate.
Just recently it has started displaying that I need to clean the front sensor, I have looked and cleaned the large square “Radar” block just under the number plate, and the four sensors on the front bumper (one either side of number plate and one either side toward the wings) but still have the alarm, is their another or more I may be missing?

😆sorry but I don't even know what that is anyway, BUT, I have booked it in for February to get it looked at, hopefully it's something as simple as a software update or reset, it's never been a problem until now😒

VCDS is a diagnostic tool that you plug on your car.
It gives your a complet scan of all recorded fault codes whatever the control unit... It also enables you to activate / deactivate or trim some functions.

Don't you have extra parking sensors on the sides of bumpers? Prelift usually had 6 sensors per side, whereas lifted cars have only 4.

That has nothing to do with facelift or no facelift. 12 PDC sensors is the full PDC equipment that can park itself. 8 PDC sensors is the normal PDC equipment..

12 sensors was a much more common setup for prefacelifts. At least in PL.

You can tell there is a 12 sensor setup...

Yeah I figured it likely was a diagnostic, I guess I'll find out when it goes on for a look, thanks for your reply👍

I don't have the full park assist that will actually park the car, it does however still alert me when something is too close in front of the car (Like most cars with these I guess?) Thanks for replying though👍

How? I've had another look and still can only find a total of five on the front of the car, these are the central radar block, one either side of the number plate and another two situated either side of the wings?
I've also cleaned the rear sensors just in case something there was maybe causing a glitch of some kind, I've looked in the manual and can't see anything I may be missing, but if you know of any I've missed I'm grateful for any help, and thank you for your reply👍

Thanks for this, I think I have actually checked all these (just miscounted🙄) in the past when I’ve had this message I’ve just cleaned the radar block but doesn’t make a difference at the moment
I’m also wondering if it’s a spurious response as though I have full park assistance (which I don’t) and could possibly be more a software glitch?
