Never heard of that!^^ I never replaced mine, it just happened one day, with the originals. So after u reconnected the battery, u just went in and "turned" the lock steering wheel in both directions (fully) a few times, and that clears the codes?!
I believe that disconnecting the battery for a short while, then reconnecting it forces a rescan for car for faults. For this to be successful, you do need error free or original bulbs for it to work. This should clear any visual faults on the dash but may still have them logged in the cars unit. Don’t quote me on that just my logic lol!

By disconnecting and reconnecting the battery all the lights come up on the dash which is cleared (visually) by turning the wheels on full lock. I found this out when the AA replaced my battery.

Hmmm. Well my bulbs are original, then I bought the original replacements (same brand, volts/amps. The right one still doesn't come on. I took the battery out for like, 2 or 3 days, then put it back in, same thing. I scan, no codes. Yet, my light indicator will come on upon starting sometimes, and lets me know sumn aint right back there!^^ I didn't try moving the steeringwheel tho, I'll try again, otherwise I buy the VGA thing for the computer, but I'm tryna save $400 if I can, and I don't wanna spend over 100€ for some shop to clear it. thx for the suggestion tho, next time I'll cut the wheel a few times b4 starting.
