My SEAT App

Just an FYI for those that haven't picked up on this yet.
If you have the connect app it looks like it's been replaced by a similar one named My SEAT app. I've just downloaded it and it will let you verify your ID online which means locking and unlocking can be done via your phone wherever you are so long as you have stable Internet connection.
Everything else looks roughly the same and it'll let you book your services online and provide a health report on the car, servicing etc.

Received an email (Seat Connect app also advises this) and loaded the new My SEAT app. After verifying ID and password it returned '502 Bad Gateway' on a blank screen. I uninstalled and tried again, worked the second time. Big difference I noticed is the Connect app took about 30 seconds to connect to the car, the My Seat app connects almost immediately. Very similar just an updated interface.

For me, the connect app still works still just fine. Can't see a reason yet to switch to My SEAT app.

I'm sure Connect will be taken offline at some point but no indication of timescale.

What a crappy app. The "new" My Seat app has the exact same features as the old Seat Connect one (now not working anymore) but with a different (arguably worse) UI. The old issues are still there (because the issues where not on the app itself but on the data transfer layer between car<->servers<->client app). Still wronfuly showing "unlocked" from time to time, still showing wrongfuly showing that the lights are on, from time to time. All the things that made the old app a sub-par experience are still here on the new app.
I own a plug in and the remote starting of the heat/clima is a feature that's really nice, for both confort and for fuel consumption.And that's why I actually paid for the subscription after the first year free. But I can totally say this is the most expensive crappy app I have on my phone.

Strangely, the previous Connect version worked ok for me (e.g. locked/no lights on) however the new App also tells me lights are left on frequently and I have to go and check I haven't left something on. Never told me it isn't locked.
