Curious to know how long it takes for your coolant to reach 90. I could swear that it’s taking a bit longer recently on my 1.4 tsi.

Coolant reaches 90 °C pretty quick in my 2L Cupra 280 (5ish mins). Oil can take a bit longer to get up to temp, 10-15 mins if idling, or 5-10 mins of normal, careful driving.

Yeah a friends mk7 gti warms up rapid too.

much better to judge your engine temp - by the oil temperature rather than coolant - coolant systems often have several mini/micro circuits for fast emissions warm up and cabin heat - this is not a measurement of your engine block temperature.
