Hi, I retrofitted an RLHS sensor to my car about 2 months ago, and it was an overall success, except for the fact that the HVAC system always detects high humidity on the windshield.
The sensor was in pretty good condition, except for the fact that the small ribbon cable at the bottom was slightly ripped. However, I figured it shouldn't be a problem since the wires were still intact.
I have enabled the sensor correctly through VCDS, but it doesn't seem to throw any fault codes regarding this issue. The only message I get is from the infotainment system, stating that start-stop is not available due to a windshield hazard. Additionally, the HVAC goes to max defrost when on auto.
Since I couldn't figure out how to solve the problem, my current solution is to simply disable the humidity sensor in the HVAC control unit via VCDS. I'd be thankful if anyone has any suggestions.
