Can’t make myself a primary user?

Hi all,

I just took delivery of my 2020 Formentor VZ2 yesterday and I have been trying to set my cupra connect account as primary user and it won’t let me? It lets me login to my cupra account and when it asks to make myself primary user it just gives me the loading symbol and nothing loads.

Anyone else had this issue?

Is there a good mobile network signal where you are trying to do this? The system may need to connect and if the signal is poor it may take a while or not happen.

I get good 4G at my house and good 5G when about the city. I was on a 20 minute drive and it was stuck on the loading circle for the full drive… will give Cupra a phone in morning and see what they say!

Unfortunately not, still having the same issue. Going to see what cupra say when it is in for a service

Ridiculous. Just been activated as primary user with the second key of the lessor, stopped the car, started it and it was asking me for S-PIN and saying it is wrong and I am blocked for an hour....

I had same issue, there was a fault and needed a software update from Seat. It took a while to convince them but eventually they fixed it

When I tried the connect app and found it's no longer supported and moved to My Cupra ... I had to do it again - make myself primary user.

I kept getting waiting, updating type messages so I gave up.

Tried again next day and it worked. Very frustrating process.

I bought the car second hand and dealer did service and updated the software and replaced some parts. So when I got it I tried to make primary user but would just go into waiting/loading screen and never go any further. I tried everything with keys etc but nothing worked.

I then went back to dealer and they gave me an email to contact. So contacted them and they looked for photos or videos of each step of the process. They had me do some strange sequence like re-setting and opening door, closing door. Eventually after many attempts they said it needed to go to dealer.

So went back to dealer with the email and they finally said they would look at it. They did some update and no idea what else, but it worked after.

So if you try and set primary user and the screen goes as far as a loading page, (with little circle rotating) and goes no further, the only fix is going to Seat service.

I was looking through every menu option and I came across software version or something, I clicked it, and no update, but when I went back to the menu an update available showed in the top right corner of the screen. I checked I was on home wifi and ran the update, once completed primary user worked 1st try (with both keys required)
