Mk3 SE Headlights Upgrade

So I’ve got the mk3 Leon SE which obviously doesn’t have the LED headlights and instead has the halogen bulbs. I wanted to know if there was any way of installing that LED design into my current headlights to match the look of the FR facelift ones, I’ve got a picture of my headlights down below. Not sure if this is something that would require an extreme amount of work or if it can even be done, just curious. Thanks

I’d want to fit the light strip in to make it look somewhat like this, just the general shape of the LED.

Not worth the cost.
In fairness to what @Glosphil says, my last Leon was a preFL SE Technology with the full LED headlights. My current Leon is a facelift SE Dynamic, with standard halogen headlights. Yes the headlights on this are obviously a bit more yellow than the LEDs of the old car (though helped by changing the standard bulbs for Philips Extreme Brilliance), but the actual throw of the halogens is far superior to that of the LEDs. Out of preference, apart from the colour, I actually much prefer the halogen setup........now that's poked the hornet's nest, expecting some pretty negative replies about that statement!:D

The led lights on a pre facelift Leon are s@@t for light output and seeing in the dark they are even worse if it's raining.
If you are wanting to do this retro fit for light output then as said above swap out your bulbs for some decent ones as they will put more light on the road .
The only advantage led lights have over halogen ones is they look ok.

Agreed wholeheartedly with what @Rockbox says above - I swapped my original bulbs for Philips X-treme Vision Pro150, and the difference over the factory bulbs is massive. And way, way better than the LED of my previous car.
The X-treme Vision Pro150 bulbs are a straight swap with the original bulbs, and a totally safe upgrade with the bulbs staying at the same 55W, so no coding required, and since putting these in, I haven't had one single objection from another road used with regards dazzle (which I did constantly with the LEDs of the previous car). Having had both setups, if I was to change the Leon again, I would certainly go for another with halogens over the LED.
These bulbs aren't cheap, but are worth every penny - I've got them in both dipped and main beam (H7 bulbs for both). They are noticably whiter than standard bulbs as well.
Here's the link to the seller I got mine from.

Yeah I get ya, its not the light really because any brighter the oncoming traffic gets beamed even on low beams. If its anywhere the same as halogens but with a cooler look I'm in. I've the L90028086 MBD DRL LED Modules on hand for both sides (not auto leveling ones). I'm just trying to find the perfect mind that can install them without errors. PWM Pulsing Fix Anti-Flicker Capacitor Link | HR H300 or GTR PWM Interface Modules promise a lot but will they work tho 🤔

That's just it though, the brighter and whiter halogen bulbs do not get any objection from oncoming vehicles. Standard LED setups do get regularly flashed by oncoming vehicles on dipped beam.
You can't just fit a set of LED headlights - without the self levelling you will have endless issues with dazzling others, and they will not pass a yearly inspection either. LED lights cannot be manually adjusted, and need the level sensor fitting and working.
Those headlights you've put in your post are from a pre-facelift Leon, and they are known to be absolute crap as far as light throw goes. My previous Leon had them, and they were atrocious, especially in the rain. Changing from your standard halogen lights to a lower light output LED unit just because you think they look better really isn't the way to go. And putting aftermarket stuff in to try to fool the canbus into thinking things are standard can be a very costly mistake when the BCM gets fried.
