I noticed this missing from my car and can only presume it has been removed as I cant see how it can have just fallen off. How important is it and what is the replacement called?

And...if they are fitted I believe the current MOT regs say that they have to work if the headlamp is sticking out more than 2000 lumens - so getting it fixed probably isn't optional.
Is part of the spray head assembly not missing as well? From memory, the high pressure headlights washer pump, jacks up the spray head and when it has reached the top of its travel, it allows the washer fluid to spray out the spray head and onto the headlight assembly - what is showing there, to me, and I've seen a couple pf so of them, is the open end of the "jacking cylinder" - the spray head should be fitted to the top of that, and the hinged cover flap is fixed to the bumper cover and gets pushed up when the washer spray head extends.
Edit:- maybe in this version, the cover flap is mounted onto the spray head and not the bumper cover, either way you will need to check just how much is now missing.

Thanks guys. Something is missing off there, would you agree its likely to have been lifted?
I'd expect so as there is probably strong return springs holding the complete top end and flap down closed when there is no water pressure on it.
Isnt this the same part though it says 2012-2016?

Well yes your car needs a trim cover for that headlight washer spray head - but I think that it also now needs a spray head, if you look very closely at the section from the workshop manual, you should be able to see where the top spray head/piston, that this trim cover clips onto, is fitted down onto the upright fixed open end of the barrel that is still fitted or left on your car.
Ive just watched a youtube clip and must say I never knew about those headlight washers, never used them.
Have I ordered the wrong part? My brother says this that I have ordered will require me to remove the bumper and it is the nozzle I need not the headlight washer that I have ordered.
You know, the cruel thing here is, your brother should be correct about this - but in reality, while the parts listing shows the small top part you need as a separate item in the pictorial representation - in the associated part numbering listing, there is a comment that this part is not available separately and so the complete assembly that you have bought is required!
I'd think, if you can see and work out how to remove this top section from the complete assembly, you will be able to get it off and fit it onto your car without needing to get the bumper off.

I've replaced the exact parts you are replacing and can confirm it's one unit. Like @RUM4MO said, there might be a away of separating them but it's more hassle than just fitting the whole washer nozzle.
It's not a hard job to remove the bumper; bolts underneath, in the engine bay and in the wheel arches. There MIGHT be a way of doing it just by removing the wheel arch liners but then you'll be crawling around in the tight space.
Fit the washer nozzle, then fit the cap on from the outside of the bumper (you'll need to pull out the nozzle from inside it's housing (like it does when it sprays) to be able to attach the cap from the outside.

Ive done it today by removing the washer nozzle top section and clipping on on to the remaining part, 5 minute job all done without have to remove bumper and all that. Thanks though.
