Hi,
I have a Leon ST from 2019 and I'm wondering if this Maxton Design diffuser would fit.
It doesn't specify whether it would fit the ST bumper, is there even any difference between the facelifted hatchback bumper and the ST bumper?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, diffusers for the ST, hatch and SC are all different - you have to get an ST specific. Maxton do a couple, or Reiger is a very popular option (I have a Reiger on my ST):

I've not managed to find anything else fitting the ST than the Reiger diffuser.

Sadly, (and quite obviously) everything seems to be made for the Cupra models.

Thanks for the response!

Yeah, the Cupra diffusers for the Facelift will fit, but you'd need to have your exhaust changed to twin exits to match the cutouts

Yeah not sure it's worth the cost/effort or if it's even possible.
Quite new to the Seat Leon world but my understanding is that the FR ST doesn't have the biggest market for modding compared to other versions of the car.

It's definitely possible, there are a few petrol FR ST's that have been converted to twin exits by just having the backbox replaced. Is it worth it though? I was happy enough with the Reiger, and it's an easy 20min install that freshens up the back end. Sadly though as you say the FR ST doesn't have anything like the parts selection for it that the non ST or Cupra models have - limited diffusers, no spoiler options etc. Spiltters and side skirts are ok though as the 5 door stuff fits the ST

I might look into having it converted to twin exits then. I've always liked the look of the ST Cupra R;)
Since the ST has the spare tyre it looks like there's more work than just changing the backbox.
But hey, they say beauty is pain right? :)

Does that mean the Cupra ST exhaust systems will fit the FR190 ST then (providing the diffuser is changed) or is there more going on in regards to the pipe work from the engine?

Thinking of a spicier diffuser as well as an exhaust system so may as well go with the cupra twin exit :)

You’d have to have some fabrication done to make it work, as if the 190 is anything like my tdi there’s no hanger on the right hand side to attach the other back box to. So tbh you’d have to get somewhere willing to do some work to make it fit

Might be easier to just get the Maxton Design one and get exhaust work done solely for the sound.

On maxton website it states that this fits the ST and hatch.
I thought they were different?
Sorry, I just linked that for the photo.

Ide pick the ST version. To be honest I thought they were different too.

Read the mk3 cupra (face lift) rear diffuser is the same for FR and Cupra.

Hey guys, sorry for jumping on this thread years down the line,

I am coming from an S3 8V to a metallic red 2019 Leon Xcellence Lux ST for cost and practicality reasons, I do have plans for this car to make the transition a little bit less painful.
I am going to lower it by 30mm using KW ST Springs and dampers, and going to throw some 18" Japan Racing JR28's in bronze.
I would also like to fit a rear diffuser and some other "aero" stuff to it, I don't want to fork out a couple of hundred quid on a diffuser to find it doesn't fit.
So what I want to know, are the Xcellence variants the same as the FR when it comes to rear diffusers? I know damn straight they wont be the same as the Cupra but I can't see them being all that different from the FR, any help is appreciated guys, I've attached a few renderings I've made on a website I use to show what the plans will look like, I know cars are specific to the owner but if you have any suggestions on what else could be done to improve the look of it please feel free to post your opinion,

No problem.

Maybe someone can shed some more light but from my experience as my FR ST is the face lifted one, the rear valance is the same as the cupra.

Wonder if it's worth giving Seat an email (if no luck here)?

Thanks for that Yoshi.

I wouldn't even know what to say to Seat to be honest, I have an idea before I go as far as asking Seat, and that would be to ask Maxton or someone who makes the rear valances, because they'll understand what I am trying to do more than Seat I believe.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on here though, to reiterate I am looking at the possibility of putting a rear valance on Xcellence Lux ST and because there is none marketed for a Xcellence Lux ST I am wanting to know if there is a possibility of buying a FR one :)

They’re all interchangeable - as long as the body style and pre/post facelift matches your car you’re good. All the post facelift ST diffusers fit the 17-20 estates

The only compatibility issues are with the exhaust layout - you can fit a Cupra ST diffuser to an FR or Xcellence, but you’d need to alter the exhaust as the Cupra has left and right pipes vs dual left pipes on the FR/XL

So in answer to your question, yes an “FR” 17-20 ST diffuser will fit your Xcellence and be a straight swap. A Cupra ST diffuser will fit if you change the exhaust 👍

Absolutely smashing! Thank you so much TripleBob!

So I'll be looking at a Rieger FR diffuser, I know Maxton don't do anything for the facelifts, I've also read that the Cupra 290 with the GPF has the same exhaust layout as a Xcellence so that could be a mod for the future too!
