Hello Antera,

I am from Spain, I have several questions about the DYI. What about the phone button present in the original wheel? I guess you lost the ability to grab a phone call using it, right?
I have been told by a Spanish company in Barcelona that they are able to provide all of the hardware to leave also the heating working, but they charge 1600€ for everything (new wheel included).

Regards.

@Antera Could you take a screenshot of the steering wheel settings? no need to go to the car. Turn on OBD11 and on the left go to garage/your car/Control units/gateway/adaptations/ and search for wheel. there, take a screenshot of these three things. I'm waiting for my steering wheel to arrive. but I was digging around here some time ago and I don't know if I changed something. Thanks.

I dont use obd11 this tool is not safe. 😀
I have old VCDS (not support my Leon), odis and VC tool on passthru J2534. I think that obd11 is as safe as others, provided you know what you are doing and do not use ready-made applications, but code manually. I have already done a lot of things using OBD11 and I don't think it is any different from VCDS from the coding point of view. anyway. Could you please check your values there in your free time? about 2 years ago I tried to start TA and it removed the steering wheel heating. I didn't notice it until a year later. I changed the settings, I don't know if it's correct. the heating is back and everything seems to be working, but I don't know if it is correct for TA operation. I would like to be sure. Thanks.

Did anyone got the steering wheel heater working after the wheel is replaced? Any additional wiring is required from BCM? I was looking for wiring diagram but didn't find any useful information about it.

Is there anyone interested in a steering wheel together with the mod chip for unlimited travel assist? I am going to sell my car after 3 years and going to make it original again.
I used the steering wheel just a month and it works perfect.
It's the captive wheel with heating (my car didn't had it so it didn't work)

Anybody here experience this problem the A13 not accepting the codding for capacitive steering whell always gives error something went wrong. Also 09 central electronic say something about driver assistance button faulty. The heating element isnt connected yet so the error is epxected. This is a brand new steering wheel every button working fine except the lane assist selector. Any advise would be highly appriciated at this stage thanks

Can help you with that if this is still necessary? I have OBD11

if you want to have the capacitive functions, you also need a steering wheel with capacitive detection
