Hi,

So I had an oil change today and they messed up the car configurations they managed to change service interval from 15.000kms to 5.000kms. They couldnt fix it, after I got home I connected with VCDS and managed to fix that by changing a parameter in the module 17 - instruments. [case closed]

Besides that there another problem, an error in module 17 - instruments, that I think its caused by them messing up with configurations:

2 Faults Found:

1416448 - Oil Level Thermal Sensor
B1041 29 [009] - Signal Implausible
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 2
Reset counter: 215
Mileage: 200480 km
Date: 2127.14.31
Time: 17:38:13

9453841 - Oil Level Thermal Sensor
B1041 33 [009] - Signal low time > maximum
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
Freeze Frame:
Fault Status: 00000001
Fault Priority: 2
Fault Frequency: 1
Reset counter: 215
Mileage: 200480 km
Date: 2127.14.31
Time: 17:46:52

I dont think my car has this sensor at all, usually it is in the oil pan I just checked no sensor there...

Here is an example with an hole for the sensor, mine doesnt have this

and mine, nothing there:

So they messed up with this because this sensor too, the instrument cluster uses this sensor to calculate service interval in cars with variable service interval which my car doesnt have.

when I get to

module 17 > adaptations

I see the value of this configurations:

Changing this last configuration in the instrument cluster to "not connected" as seen in the image fixes this error

Can someone please with an early Ibiza 1.4 16v check what they have here in this configurations

Thanks

That is annoying!
Sorry but our Ibiza 1.4 16V was sold just under 4 years ago, so I can't help.

I keep planning to use VCDS to generate a complete set of controller maps so that I know what needs changing back if any sort of corruption happens, if you had done that you would have been able to change setting back to what they should be easily. I really really should do this soon, I've even bought a battery maintenance or support unit to help me keep the battery voltage up while doing this, so no excuse for me really!

is there a way to generate that on VCDS? or do I have to go setting by setting extract it
