Anyone know the average time taken from build date to delivery? I thought around 6 weeks, but might be wrong. Getting any updates (just templated responses from a lease company so far) is nigh on impossible.
My dealer said 1 to 1,5 months
Build week 23/24 confirmed. Placed The order back in september 2021 almost full loaded.

Mine's been on order since Sept '22, I was given a build date of 15/5 and a date to arrive in the UK or 7/7, but no clarity on potential delivery. 85 weeks is crazy, I admire your patience!

I'm currently on 85 weeks (ordered a PHEV October 2021 via company lease) and "Still Waiting Build, waiting on parts" has been the update for the last 3 months!
Same car for me, company lease, ordered end Nov 21. Last update stated August 23. Generally, when I get 6weeks away from an expected delivery date it shunts forwards again…and again…and again…!!🤣

Its a crazy situation to be waiting for what is a standard product for so long ...... Seat / Cupra must be at the end of the supply chain behind the other VW group marques.....

Some members on VW forums have had around a two year wait for their cars, so it’s not just a Seat / Cupra thing.

Cupra recently are often the only PHEVs that you can order from the VWAG. Also, some of my colleagues have been waiting to see if something cheaper comes out, but some prices have risen by about 15%. So the Kia Sportages are off the list, along with some Peugeots. Those that ordered them last year are all waiting more than 12months. List price when I ordered was £36815. Now it’s 39270. No wonder I went for stock white! Still seems good value as the Astra PHEV is 38895! Ridiculous.

The list price of my choice has gone from £35,925 to £ 38,810, which has been a dilemma, as on occasion I have been tempted to cancel and choose again, but to what and how long again for possibly a lesser vehicle!

The VW group must have a very large shared parts holding for all there marques.

The Group comprises of ten brands, with my assumed pecking order....

Bentley / Lamborghini
Porsche / Ducati,
Audi,
Volkswagen / Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles,
ŠKODA / SEAT / CUPRA,

My Cupra Leon 245 Petrol is on way to dealer after clearing customs. Showing anticipated delivery as end of June though. Can't imagine it will take a further 6 weeks! Anyone know if that's right? Finance Docs are completed.

I would've thought they'd want them out the door quickly so they can bank the money. Strange.

Think we are in the same boat! Same order month and absolute rubbish coming from the factory, they are definitely prioritising personal purchases.
Is yours a VZ3? My last update is 'July ETA' but I've had many ETAs since order, and funnily enough they always get pushed back just before the build week would occur!

Its a VZ2 Nevada White with medium safety pack..... so nothing special order wise .... have recently heard that production is still only at 25% of capacity due to parts & resources!

I was reading (translated version!) this the other day. Even if production is up, there is still a backlog. A brief translation of the figures below also sheds some light on the models produced. I would hope Seat Leon on line two includes Cupra Leon!

https://www.eleconomista.es/motor/n...-prepandemia-en-la-fabrica-de-martorell-.html

The Catalan facility will reach 2,205 units per day, a figure that has not been seen since the beginning of 2020.

They have plans to work in two shifts on line 1, which produces the Seat Ibiza and the Seat Arona; in three shifts on line 2, which assembles the Cupra Formentor and the Seat León; and in a shift and a half on line 3, which produces the Audi A1

They did say that they have some way to go to reach the previous record of 2300 units a day.

I ordered a seat Leon in xcellence lux spec, 1.5 eTSI in the uk at the back end of Jan 2022, estimated Sept 22. From Jan 23 I have had dates staring around now, then first week of May as the build week. It actually left to the port first week of May.

I suspect it arrived in the port in the uk Friday, although no update on this, just me following the vessel. Technically it should arrive dealers late this week/early next, so hopefully I’ve light at the end of the tunnel.

Hopefully, this means if you’ve been given a date recently it’s not far off.

Still a little bit of hope I get it before the 2 year mark 🤣 I will hopefully get an update at the beginning of June 🤞

Interesting Article! More news than anything directly from CUPRA!

Genuinely feels like a fantasy 🤣 I don't think I'll know what to do when I actually get the car finally 🤦

UPDATE!! - Finally received my car on the 23rd May having had it delivered to the dealer on the 17th May.
VZ1 245 Leon standard spec and it is an AMAZING car! I know it's a long wait - 250 days for me according to the tracker (updated) - but I promise you all, it IS WORTH THE WAIT!!

Well done , congrats etc.

Did your status go from nothing to 'its built' or did you get an update some time ago with a build date? My Nov 21 order is still telling me to await build date. Exact same car as you on a company lease.

Good news for me to, the car will be delivered to my dealer in Sweden, on the 21 july. Orderd back in september -21.
The winter tires/rims that I ordered are no longer manufactured (orderd Seat rims), so they will be updated to Cupra rims for free.

Unfortunately I had no way to access any status, I was in the dark until about 3 months ago when I got a contact at our companies leasing provider and I just got a monthly update from them. It was essentially the same up until this month when it was suddenly built and on its way.
Prior to this everything was just provisional!

It was estimated Oct '22 delivery, this came and went, then I had no info until about March, where the date was given as estimated May '23. This then got pushed back to estimated July, which I think must have stuck, but I never actually got a any confirmed build weeks!
