Not sure what you mean by rubbing together, they don't move, can't see any damage on them

See the tie rap bottom left on zoomed in pic ? That’s pulling the pipe down enough not to rub on the above pipe the bottom one was wearing though , run your finger between them going towards the valves , yours might be ok as I might be missing a clip or something can’t see any holder for it, but tie rap been there for a few years now and fine, was a fluke I found that issue.
Oh yea the first valve you see in pic is the N75

I could not find any problems there, could the reason the car struggles to rev be the cat, or does the fact I disconnected the EGR valve and still could not rev the car rule that one out? Anyone have any experience removing the cat, is there a guide anywhere? Thanks in advance for any advice

The whole engine appears to be tilted down to the passenger side (the opposite side of the failed engine mount, is that normal?)when I went underneath while the engine was running I seemed to be able to hear a slight knocking sound as well on the passenger side, still haven't been able to find the source of.the power drain, thanks for any suggestions..

Does it attach here? And would this being disconnected cause massive power loss and the turbo to stop working?

Can anyone tell me what this is and where it goes?

Have you simplified your vacuum system? Because that, to me, looks like the connector that normally comes off the long vacuum line that runs from the vacuum ball at the front of the engine. If I'm right, that part should connect to another vacuum line just where the concertina pipe for the air intake pipe connects up.

I've circled the part I think it might be.

Either that, or it could be the vacuum line for the turbo actuator. There aren't many lines that are long enough to need an extender piece like that, but given the angle of it in your photo, it seems more like the vacuum ball one.

Sorry - looks like we were both posting at the same time. Yes - that's probably the turbo actuator line.

With it disconnected, the turbo vanes won't be opening, which is why you're down on power.

If you've been driving with it like that (or trying to) maybe check the lines to make sure nothing's been sucked in. It's unlikely but just in case.

So after months of having a pretty useless car, this simple cable seems to have been the main culprit, not taken the car out for a spin but if anyone else has this problem this connection is not particularly strong and easily disconnected...

Don't get me started...! I'd say 99% of my problems aren't anything major, but involve loose boost pipes, worn hoses and repairing crap work done by garages.

I started replacing all of my vacuum lines because a garage hadn't clipped the turbo actuator hose back into the clip on the TIP, and so the heat of the EGR valve wore a hole in it. I find that if they come off easily, 3mm silicone hoses work pretty well.

So decided to have another go at it and try and get the turbo/manifold off, kind of wishing I never started as all the bolts seem to be rusted/seized although I have taken managed to take a fair bit off including the egr, large exhaust pipes etc one allen screw is absolutely wrecked after overtorquing it and it's now and is now more circular than hexagonal as far in as it will go, not sure how to deal with that now?

There seem to be a couple of other bolts that seem almost impossible to get and are no doubt pretty rusted too, not sure if even needed fo removal any help much appreciated!

Or should I just try and get it all put back together and just hope I haven't already done any irreparable damage... Possibly the best idea, because the turbo does not work at all I assumed it was the turbo but could obviously be something much less hassle that I have missed like mentioned above such as a damaged hose or something, I can see some damage but none to a serious extent that I've noticed...

Whatever It is happened when a council van smashed into the car and then a few months later the engine mount failed and the engine fell out after the oil pan smashed off a speed bump...

Ah, that's... that's quite the list. First problem is the oil pan getting smashed. How long did it run after the oil got thrown out of the hole underneath?

Reason I ask is that PD150s like their oil, they get extremely unhappy when they don't have it.

As for everything else... it may be best to put it back together and get a proper diagnostic run done. By that I mean have someone run VCDS to log turbo actuator duty etc. May be worth smoke testing the system, not essential but ask to see how much they charge for it and see if it's worth it.

When the oil pan got smashed and the engine mounts failed it was at the same time, I towed the car home lifted the engine back up replaced the engine mount and the pan but the car never had any power since then, i barely used the car for health reasons anyway but when it was used it struggled up hills, could not hear the turbo and it could not get over 60mph.

N.b. added a photo I managed to get of inside the turbo, looks damaged to me, thoughts?

The turbo is very damaged, may want to see if you can spin it by hand (wear gloves!) to see if that's why it's not boosting
I cannot fit my finger into try and spin the but at the front seemed loose and seemed to spin though, pretty sure the whole housing has been somehow.crushed by the looks of it and seems to be significant damage on the blades so I would imagine it needs replacing and is hopefully the only cause of the lack of boost.

There are about 6 bolts I think holding it on but I cannot get my adjustable wrench or socket over 5 out of 6 of them as it is very tight fit, I could try and find a 10mm spanner but it would need to be tiny and so hard to extend to get the required torque, the one I could get to was tough enough with a socket! Any suggestions?
