Hi all,

Notice this cracked in the rear offside light cluster of our 2019 Cupra. Very annoying as it's due to go back soon as it's a lease.

What's the cost of a replacement and how easy are they to change? Would be happy with one from a breaker if that's possible.

Just weighing up if it's worth changing or leaving and risking the lease recharges.

Cheers all

Replaced one on my old FR a few years ago for £100 new, no idea what prices will be like now.

Very easy to change, just the bolt from the inside, pull the light out carefully and unplug

Ok great. So just a case of sourcing one as cheaply as possible. Any ideas anyone?

What about eBay trying to find a used one if you want cheap as poss? You might be able to find one in good condition and save some money or it’ll look worse then the one you have that’s eBay parts risk lol

I’ve added a example below I’m not 100% sure if it’s the correct one for your car so please check all listings available etc.

Thanks. Does anyone know the part number by chance?
It’s on the eBay link posted above. Part No starts 5F… if you want to be really sure, remove the old one and it will be embossed or have a sticker with part no on. Note: that eBay one has some damage hence low price. Other option is for a Valeo unit from ECP - Valeo are the OEM for the light units.

I would just check that the Cupra doesn’t have a tinted light vs other trim levels.

Top tip is don’t over tighten when putting the new one in. You can crack the lights quite easily, which is why a number of people suffer with water ingress in the rear light unit.

Cheers.

If I knew the part would fit and match, and is an easy fit, I'd be ok with paying £100 for one to avoid the lease company trying to charge back dealer cost for replacement (which I'd guess was much more £££)

Appreciate all the pointers though people. It's very annoying!
