Cheers, yeah it's awaiting a ship, what were the names of the ships, acuqiace ace? See what's on its way to Barcelona!!

The ships being used currently seem to be the Aquarius Ace and the United Spirit. The United Spirit is already here, currently moored at Grimsby. The Aquarius Ace is on its way to Sheerness, should arrive on Friday. At one time they were using the Pegasus Ace but this is currently in Asia 🤷‍♂️

So looks like it might be untied spirit, just looked on marine traffic, how long does it take to get back, suppose it depends on if its going straight back to Spain? Otherwise looking at a few days?

I am pretty sure the United Spirit will return to Barcelona and should probably be back there around the middle of next week. This all depends on its return port calls etc.

I am awaiting confirmation that my car is also on the Aquarius Ace. Apparently, it is due into Sheerness on Friday early morning (01:00hrs). Not sure if it will call at other ports (Tyne). Dealer has told me that it should be with them about 1 week after landing at port. Then then have to book the PDI etc so I am hoping I can get the car early April.🤞🤞
My dealer said it was due at Grimsby, so I'm guessing that's where mine will offload. I'm not sure if it will follow United spirit and if it does then it will go to Tyne before Grimsby. Even though it's painful I can easily wait as I just cancelled the car I've had on order for 6 months to get this one. So knowing it's built and on its way is much easier than the last 6 months of not knowing when it was going to be built. The one I cancelled was a completely different make and model.

I'm hoping early April as well and I've told them not to wash it. :ROFLMAO:

Fingers crossed indeed but it looks like some kind of lottery... Few people has had theirs in less then the usual 3 months other have waited 10 months and no build week yet... I ordered VZ3 on 19th of November and it was supposed to be delivered by the end of this month. I have been informed that there will be 3 months delay because of the top view cameras but I don`t rely on this new date too much either...
I've cancelled my VZ2 310 with top view camera 2 weeks ago, as it stuck on the confirmed production week 5. I've ordered one from stock and it just get to UK last Friday.
After I've cancelled the original order I got the call from the dealer that they got the message from Cupra that cars with Top view camera won't be build by at least November 22.

Mine turned up yesterday, almost exactly 10 months after ordering.

First impressions are good. Hating the infotainment system but I'll get used to it.

After 24h you already hate the infotainment  ? Wow, I really hope It's not that bad
I don’t think it’s that “bad”. It just takes a bit of time to get your head around it and set it up to suit your needs. If you operate in the default set up then it can be a bit frustrating but I have spent some time with a friend who has a formentor and he has his set up and says it’s great once you get used to it. It’s not bad it’s just different 🤗

I've had mine for a week now, I don't find the infotainment that bad at all. It took me a bit to figure out where everything is, but once you know where everything is it's fine and have no problems with it :)

I came out of a car with very good and intuitive controls to a car where almost everything is controlled by a touchscreen. It's just going to take me time getting used to it.

I used similar systems in the Octavia and Golf. Octavia had a few additional buttons which made skipping to certain screens like climate control easy. The Golf's system was a tonne worse and it had haptic feedback buttons on the steering wheel which I was always accidently touching. Thankfully the Formentor has proper buttons on the wheel.

It's just a matter of getting to know it. It will get better. I just mourn the loss of a basic button to up the fan or reduce the temperature. I think VAG have taken a leap too far with the systems their using but a lot of other manufacturers are heading the same way.

I agree with all you say, but the fact remains that the infotainment system is awful.

Unfortunately I can confirm that... My VZ3 ordered November 21 now has build week 50 which is mid December... With the delivery will be January IF everything else is ok. I am fuming!!!

However dealer said that might be able to offer me an alternative in the summer but it wont have any options. Has anyone had a chance to compare the standard sound system with the Beats one? And another one for the guys who already are enjoying their cars: Does it have that feature to tilt the left mirror when put in reverse in order to show the back left wheel while parking? Thank you very much!

I've not heard the Beats system, but IMO the standard sound system is pretty good. In fact I would say its slightly better than the Harmon/Kardon system I had in my previous 19 plate 1 Series.

Yes, it does have the tilting passenger mirror when put it into reverse, so long as the window switch is to the left mirror position.

If you ok without Brembo give Perrys Cupra Bolton a ring. They've got magnetic tech VZ2 310 in stock with the beats and the pan roof.

Unfortunately this is now registered as their demo so they can't sell it, I just tried. :ROFLMAO:
Ooo unlucky mate, I had a choice last week between this and asphalt blue without extras. I went for the asphalt as pan roof is not for me.
Have a look at autotrader if you haven't yet

I had an update on my car today and it was good news finally. I thought my car was on the Aquarius Ace but in fact it was on the United Spirit. This means my car is at port here in the UK. According to the dealer, with a bit of luck, I should be picking it up towards the end of next week. I think I will slowly start to allow myself to get a little bit excited now......:bounce:
