Finally had the car delivered (an apt word as it took 9 months) this morning and all I can say now is I am in love. Will post some pics later.
Formentor V2, Petrol, Graphene Grey, Black leather, electric tailgate update...
Well it definitely looks like the factory builders have been on overtime - that's me just had a call from Arnold Clark dealership to say that my car is en route and due in to them 'in the next couple of weeks' (previous estimates May/June delivery for my mid-October 2021 order). They wouldn't be pressed further on it but they confirmed it's currently on the boat and will be ready for collection about a week after it gets in to them. That puts us around the first week in April for getting in the driving seat. I asked about a choice of reg numbers once they're at that stage but he said it doesn't work like that anymore - can anyone confirm if that's the case? I've been able to have a choice in the past with brand new cars...

I didn't have a choice of registration but mines a lease car... It's brilliant well worth the wait!
Contacted my dealer yesterday to see if there had been any update on the car. Confirmed for Build Week 11 and still on track for end of April. Excitement has very much kicked in, hoping for a drop in petrol prices before it gets delivered!
Same as me, but I've got a Leon on order, so hopefully it gets built this week!!

Think it might depend on how close your car is due to the new reg change, I know when I got a 62 plate I had a little choice, and collection was for 1st September, my other new cars have been weeks or months after a change.

How long do they usually sit at the docks for? I ordered one on Thursday of last week that was reportedly waiting at the dock for a ship, but it's still there a week later. Just curious of how long is normal before I start to panic things aren't going as planned.

Which two boats do they use? I'm sure I read on this thread they used the United Spirit which is en-route to the UK from Barcelona and currently in the Bay of Biscay (I'm hoping mines on it!!)
My dealer says mine is at the dock so I'm guessing it won't be on United Sprit then, unless of course their trackers aren't that good and only update when they arrive. Here's hoping it's going to be on Aquarius Ace if the captain ever decides where the port is as he's been circling for quite a while.
I have just received a call from Arnold Clark, was given a build of week 11, however just been told my car is on the United Spirit code 30 which is due to arrive in Tyne about 19th March. Must have been built early. Ordered vehicle on 6/11/21. Cupra Formentor 1.5 TSI V2 DSG in Magnetic Metallic Grey.
Oh that's good, I had a confirmed build week of 11, hopefully be similar thing, I spoke to my dealer on Tuesday and he said that they had an Arona with week 8 build but then showed as being in transit or something, so think he said things aren't getting updated as soon as they happen etc.

When ordering the car I was given an estimated delivery of June 2022. Definitely quicker than expected. Looking forward to delivery. Hope yours comes soon.
Collect my asphalt blue vz2 today. Only done about 30 miles but I love it.
