CUPRA Care/Service Costs

Anyone got any idea what should and shouldn't be included in CUPRA Care. The official blurb says it's "the first three manufacturer services and a pollen filter and brake fluid change if required." However, my local dealer has decided they would like to charge me £59 for the brake fluid change. Needless to say, I'm going to be fighting them on that one.

However, they also reckon that it's recommended to have the Haldex oil changed after three years. I think that I've seen this elsewhere so I don't have an issue with this. My question would be that if it's recommended that it's done after three years why isn't it covered by the CUPRA Care?

My final question is on costs. They reckon that my rear disks/pads need changing (after 3 years and approx £23K miles). Does this seem normal? They also want to charge me £410 which seems a little on the steep side.

Seriously?

Not saying it's the case here, but rear discs/pads are a well known 'up sell' by dealerships. It happened to me on a previous car (not SEAT) and it was nearly 3 years on before the rear pads finally actually did need replacing!

I’m interested to know how you got on regarding brake fluid change. My 3rd year service is due soon. I agree that if Haldex is recommended on 3rd annual service, then this should be included. I’ll also be expecting this when mine’s in for service. We’ll see!!
Regarding brakes, I’d get opinion and quotes from independent. Good luck.

They agreed that the brake fluid change should be covered by the CupraCare. Had to pay for the haldex service and brake pads/disks. Having buyers regret about that - I reckon I could have got away with another year. 😒

Good that they covered the brake fluid change (as they should!!). I guess it’s more difficult to argue the others as they’re individually listed on the SEAT servicing website and not specified on CupraCare. At least you know you’ve got good brakes and won’t need changing for a while.
