Winter alloys for my beloved FR

Hi, everyone.

Winters are mild in Istanbul and most of us rarely need to have winter tires on our cars so I wasn't planning to replace my recently fitted ContiSportContact 5 summer tires with a winter set. But this year I've been traveling to city of Bursa every week for an ongoing project, which is 130 km south of Istanbul and winters are a little colder & snowy there, so I decided to fit a set of Continental WinterContact TS870P, thankfully paid by the company I've been working for.

Also I decided to have a new set of wheels for the winter tires, not that I don't like my original wheels (which are "18" Performance 30/2 Machined" ones, I'm in love with them), but just for a nice visual change for the winters. I'm usually a fan of shiny-metal-looking wheels, never liked the fully-black wheels and I always stand against the trends but this time I made a big change and chose the glossy black Borbet Y design. I quite liked the result and happy for the time being, I will revert back to my original alloys when winter ends.

I couldn't find the opportunity to take shots in good lighting conditions yet but I think the ones I got would give an idea anyway.
I'd like to hear your comments about the way it looks.

Cheers,
Serdar

For my FR I use winter wheels with a simple plain 5-spoke design. Much easy to keep clean than complex multi-spoke designs.
You're very right of course, but practicality was never a concern for me. I'm the kind of person who can go through all the hardships for what he likes & wants. Not saying it's the right behaviour but that's me anyway :)

Cheers 👐

Your new wheels look as though they should be easy to clean :)

Maybe you're right, maybe Glosphil is right too, to bring up the practicality issue.
I didn't give it much thought because I very rarely clean the car myself :)

I'm just a cheap-skate. I just use 15 inch steels with plastic wheel trims on them for winters! :D
Trims are genuine Skoda parts, with the centre badges changed. Think they are called the Castle design.
