it seems they are having a few productions issues ,
but when i ordered i expected nothing and didn't expect the dealer to meet the 4 month lead time ,so i am just biding my time and waiting and hoping my other car will last the wait as it keeps breaking things.
Minimum lead time is 4 months then extra's on top extend the build time , if you try to get a land rover its a 12 month wait or a merc they actually also dropped some features on their new models.

Is anyone else on here getting increasingly frustrated with Cupra? I am new to the brand but am having a less than great experience. I ordered a Formentor VZ2 310 with pan-roof and top-down camera in Graphene grey/blue nappa interior. This was ordered back in Aug 2021 and I eventually received a build date of Week 5 2022. This week has come and gone and I rang to obtain an update. I was then told that they had an update, after my build week, to say that cars with top-down cameras would see an additional 12 week delay! This notice came after my build week, however, it seems that I have to remove the camera? As the top-down camera is not vital, a nice to have, I instructed them that I didn't need it. My build week has reverted to 0 and the dealership is unable to update me. Whatever happens, I don't see the car arriving any day soon! I called Cupra UK customer services, to see if they could shed any light on the situation. I was told I needed my official order number. I obtained this from the dealership and called back, then to be told that they can't help? I know that all manufacturers are having it tough with components but feel somewhat aggrieved that a notice comes out after my build week, with no updates from the dealership, and then I am going to wait again to get another build week. This crates a load of pain and unnecessary disruption to customers. Cupra customer service are nye-on useless, you get a different story from different people. All I want is some information/clarity and they are totally unable to help. Not great customer services. Due to work & other commitments I am now on the verge of cancelling my order with Cupra as my experience is pretty poor. Worries me that as a potential owner things may not improve?
Ive had the exact same experience - been as far as Cupra/Seat Customer Care and Complaints teams, same answers from the lot - cant tell me anything!

I ordered a Cupra Leon VZ3 hatch in September, told Jan/Feb delivery. Planned around that, my PCP ended and car is now gone... No build week, no indication of when my car will arrive.... and i'm left without a car!

Good Lord... I am waiting for Formentor VZ3 with cameras and beast audio system ordered on 19th of November... After I read the last few pages of this topic I can't be sure whether I am getting the car this year at all 😃Few days ago my dealer offered me a cancelled order of VZ3 but without any options arriving next month (when mine was supposed to arrive). I said no because I am not desperate and I have what to drive for now but I might made a mistake...

Has anyone received Formentor VZ3 at all guys?

To the frustrated chap from the previous page: Mate, I totally understand you but for the last year I had to cancel order of Volvo xc60 and Mercedes GLC. After 4 months of waiting with Volvo and I delay I found out MYSELF that the car will arive without the 360 cameras and the Blind spor alert system. Withe the Mercedes month into the wait, again by myself I learned that the car will arrive in a reasonable time but without multi beam headlights, burmeister sound system, augmented reality for the navigation, phone charging pad, hands free tailgate operation while the price remains THE SAME. So far cupra is handling it in the best way. Cars might be delayed for months and they don't give any useful information at all but at least they will arrive as ordered eventually...

I have a VZ3. I got it October last year after a 6 month wait. Looking back now, I did ok.

I ordered my V2 with no extras in late September. Had an email last week saying my car is going into production next week and that they expect it to arrive in the UK late march/early April… anyone know how long after arriving in the UK they normally get delivered?… I asked if they would confirm if it actually does go into production next week, but they said no, and the next update I’ll get is when it arrives. Bit s***

Hi Radagast, This is a moving picture along with everything else. Normally it takes about two weeks to end up at the dealers once landed in the UK. However, there are now delays at ports and I have been quoted 4-5 weeks from landing. Keep checking with the dealer as my build week came and went and I heard nothing until I phoned to enquire. Still none the wiser as to when/if I will get another build week? Just hoping that when I do eventually get my car it will have at least a wheel at each corner!.

Hi Trs_08, This is gutting news indeed!! Looks like all builds are slipping quite badly now. I do know that cars ordered with options like electronic tow bar & top-view camera are facing long delays. There is also a problem with building cars with virtual pedal (foot waving boot opening feature). This is on top of an already difficult situation for any hybrid builds. This is the situation now and it's probably going to get worse. 🤷‍♂️

I saw someone mention on the Cupra Formentor FB page the other day, that they placed an order for a hybrid sometime last week and has been told that the lead time is now 60 weeks! But I've seen Skoda owners being told the same as well

Hi everyone. First post

Ordered a VZ2 e-hybrid (245) in Asphalt Blue on 4th November from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, with an estimated delivery of June.
To my surprise, I received an email yesterday saying they have an estimated build date of 21st March!

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to build, ship and deliver to the Uk?!

Anyone that’s dealt with NVC - can you tell me if they provide mats? Previous leases I’ve had have not.

Gutting news for you Trs_08. And likely for me too. I ordered V2 back in October 2021 with virtual pedal (not a hybrid though, just petrol manual, so not sure if that changes things?) - was told delivery expected May / June but still no build week as yet. Looks like it might be even longer than that with the new problems if Gbbeesls is right. So annoying. I'd cancel my order if I could find something else I liked but not sure that's going to benefit me in the long run.

Hi Benish7, I ordered my VZ2 back in August 21 and have had two estimated build weeks, these have come and gone and am now awaiting a third. Estimated means nothing in reality and no one will provide a confirmed build week until the week/build actually happens. Sorry to be the pessimist here, but just going with experience. On the topic of delivery, normally it takes about 2-3 weeks after build to ship and deliver to the dealer. However, this is now also being stretched to 4-5 weeks (Brexit?). My VZ2 is not a hybrid and have been most frustrated, hybrid builds are more affected by the existing component shortages. This is not just a Cupra issue as all manufacturers are in the same boat. My brother ordered a Toyota and he will have been waiting 12 months in April. I also have a friend who ordered a Range Rover in March last year and he still doesn't have a build week and has been told he cannot have the spec'd head up display or a digital dash (only analogue). Welcome to the 21st century. When I was a kid we were promised flying cars long before now:rolleyes:🤷‍♂️

Oh ok then fair enough!

Hopes dashed a little! I will sit and wait patiently then and see what happens!!!
