When did you order, when is it arriving?

Hey mate, I ordered a VZ1 245 petrol on the 1st June and like Bear still waiting for a build date. Last update I heard was that it "may" go into build late Jan/early Feb but I'm not confident that it will. So looking at March delivery if it does go into build around then. I've still got my current car that I will be keeping alongside the Formentor, so I'm not in a rush, but the wait is a killer! Unfortunately, there is no order to the way they are building the cars. So some people are getting them earlier/later than others

I ordered mine back in June (V2) although was through a lease company, so they may have had them already on order, and it arrived 1st December

Both you guys ordered in June!! 😲 Flippin heck!! That's mad!
It's definitely a long wait, but if I cancelled now I wouldn't be able to find a car with the same spec for the same price I got (on PCH through broker) so I'm just going to wait. Plus if I cancelled and ordered something else I would be in the same situation. You may get it earlier/later, the build dates are sporadic with no order. There seems to be more 1.5s and hybrids coming through than the 2.0 Tsi's, but who knows when :(

Yeah I'm in exactly that same position! Price was just too good to cancel it now; I'd never find anything spec wise for the same price. I'm buying this one but the current car is on a lease - due to go back end of Feb 2022. So may just have to hold onto that for a little while and ride it out.

What size screen did you get with yours? @Albie999

Did you get the 12in navigation screen? Was a main purchasing point for me as I'm blind as a bat! So was seriously miffed when the V2 was de-specced to a 10inch screen. (I'm dying to see a post of anyone who has a Formentor with the new 10inch screen to see if it's that much of a difference? A screenshot of the Leon 10incher looks like it has massive borders as well as being smaller ). I know some will say "the 10inch may be better because of the resolution". But my heart was pinned to that 12incher.

Now flipping delays, no build date in sight...:mad::mad: Don't wanna keep thinking about it otherwise I may just bin it off out of anger!:D

The Formentor & Leon interior are near enough identical, so it will look like the Leon you saw.

Hi all,

(Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere)...

Does anyone know (roughly) how long it actually takes to build a Formentor? (V2 1.5TSi DSG)

Just reading about this Cupra Priority thing on the official website... car get's built in 21 days and can be tracked. What's happening here then for this to be guaranteed - as the chip shortage is still an issue.

Placed my order beginning of September... Was told April 2022 delivery. (Yeah right!).

Still no build date - then I get this email from Motorfinity (who I placed my order through for a decent Blue Light Discount)...

So basically I'm already being given the option to cancel the order (last line) before a build date has actually surfaced!!

Really doesn't make sense cancelling at this stage as it'll just be the same story elsewhere and with any other/alternative car marque I choose. So just wondering what the likelihood is of actually getting this in April when no build date is even in sight?

So really want this car; heart is set on it now; looks unlike anything else on the road just now. But how much longer!!??
To build a Formentor from scratch takes 48 hours!

Ordered 27/10 and current estimated delivery is 31/03. Excited to try something different from my previous cars!

Has anyone had experience of being able to track build? I have been told by Cupra Official that this process has recently changed and all admin has been passed back to local dealer. Local dealer advise speaking to lease company who in return advise speaking to Cupra. In short, I'm close to giving up tracking and just waiting it out!

I ordered on the 2nd June through NVC, had a confirmed build week 47 (22nd November) and now sat in limbo as nobody can provide an accurate update. Not too fussed though as we have 3 cars, 1 of which will be sold and replaced for the Formentor.

At £284 a month for the car I was never going to consider cancelling as the prices are up in the £400's now for the same deal!!

Hi, I ordered mine on about the same date from LO which has the same build week. I got an email to say mine is expected at the dealer on the 14/1/22 so hopefully you will be the same.

Sorry to hear that, I am only going to start believing it when I get the registration information as probably like you I have been told many dates!

Indeed, I keep getting conflicting information... it "should" have been built but we have not been given the chassis number. So, it probably hasn't been built haha. Do they provide the chassis number once its fully completed? So it could be part built and awaiting the semi-conductors?

I didn’t get the chassis number until it reached the UK port
