Just called Johnsons CUPRA in Liverpool (who are the supplying CUPRA dealer for UK Car Line). Annoyingly they said my car is still waiting at the port in Barcelona to be assigned a ship (probably been sat there for 2 weeks+) but the next ship leaving is now the United Spirit on 01st Dec... looks like I'll be waiting another 3 weeks taking the piss.

The date of my car has been pushed back again for the 4th time. But i have been told it is now on a ship so happy days. New date is 13/12/21 at the dealership.

They made in Barcelona and then put on trains to Emden (3 trains a day I believe) guessing less time at sea

Ah ok that’s interesting. So when our paperwork said it was in port at Barcelona there’s a chance it could’ve taken that route instead??

It's very Interesting how they do send them, unless you know the route or what boat they going on you just have to wait for the arrival day, it's a killer waiting especially when somebody knows the movements of the car

Yeh that’s the bit I don’t understand. They must know where it is or what it’s on. Do they think people will storm the ports looking for there car or something

Boats left but they don’t know if our cars on it. How is that possible?? Surely they’re scanned on or something!

They do scan it on but the status doesn’t change on the system until it’s scanned off … so you won’t really know if it’s on the boat. Depends how long it’s been fully built for … once built it goes via train to port from factory which is a dedicated train line and transporter which only takes days

Picked it up today absolutely love it. Not had chance to drive it properly as came home in heavy traffic but very smooth and so far no problems at all

Afternoon all, I've joined the lengthening list of people waiting patiently on a new Formentor, have got a eHybrid 204 V2 on order, magnetic tech grey, petrol blue interior.

Not seen many Formentors at all on Teesside, maybe two, which is part of the appeal.

Ordered as a lease through Nationwide Vehicle Contracts, all very quiet since ordering on 01st October - was told estimated February delivery when ordered so we shall see. All seems a bit luck of the draw by the sound of things on here.

I'm sure I'll have lots of questions to ask in the coming weeks/months, most relating to the infotainment by the sound of it !

I don't know how often the SLI system gets updated but on Monday I was told the car was status 30 (on its way from the factory to the port of Barcelona) and when I spoke to the supplier today the car now has status 39 (landed in the UK today!). So once the car leaves the factory it seems like the system either doesn't get updated / or hadn't been refreshed once it had reached the port / loaded onto the Aquarius ace.

That seems to be exactly the case. I was told that the vehicle had left the factory, then the next update was that it had reached the UK. I've said before that there appears to be a black hole of information between these two points.

Just had an email from Leasing Options to say that my car maybe going into build late Jan/early Feb this is when I tried to contact the supplying dealer directly. Been told that everything has to go through LO and not to contact the supplier directly. So if things go to plan I will hopefully see the car around March time which will be 9 months since ordering!

My car, Formentor 245 tsi VZ1 in solid white has just been registered, so I,m expecting to see it just this side of Christmas (fingers crossed). I ordered it 1st week in March, so a 9.5 - 10 month delivery, I do hope it's worth the wait????????????

Fingers cross for you! Looks like mine will be a similar timescale to you, so at least I finally got a possible eta when it could go to build. However at this rate I wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed again

My V2 is being delivered next week. It landed in Grimsby on 3rd Dec so it'll be exactly 2 weeks from the port to registration/PDI and delivery. Car was originally ordered in May and was build week 37. Will post pics when it arrives!
