Only get hot air when set to high

Hi,

Car running great, no issues at all except the heater controller only gives me hot air when set to high, anything below high just gives freezing cold air, so for instance if I set it to 26, it is still freezing cold air. Checked and changed a few sensors such as the heater sensor but still the same. Didn't think could be thermostat as car running fine and fuel consumption is fine too. Anybody any advice as to what it could be? This is on my Leon FR CR 2.0 TDI MY2010.

Thanks

Have you scanned for fault codes? Does it use any water?

Could be some issue with the heater matrix or the valve controlling flow?

HI,
No fault codes present. Water level all fine too. Is there a way to check heater matrix? Many thanks.

I have the same on my passenger side and its finding someone who has VCDS software and cable to hook up to the system and reset the flaps for heater vents.

So it will just be a reset of the flaps for the heater vent? Thanks

It sounds a lot like a faulty temperature flap motor, try demanding HOT<>COLD maybe 20 times giving the system time to move from one end to the other, if that does give you proper control for a day/week/month, then it is the usual positional feedback signal issue.

What type of scan tool did you use to look for faults but found none?
