I've had the car two days and absolutely love it! However, a warn message asking to top-up brake fluid has come on. Cupra Assistance came and took a look at it this morning and say it needs to go in for them to drain the fluid, check the sensor out and for me to have a courtesy car in the meantime. I'm scheduled to drive over 200 miles tomorrow, which would have been great to do in the new wheels - really disappointed. The car really is special though, dead impressed.

Double edged sword mate but glad you like it, hopefully it gets fixed easily.

There are a good handful of people on the CUPRA Formentor group on Facebook that are getting messages from CUPRA advising that due to the ongoing shortage, orders that have been placed from June onwards, are getting unconfirmed build weeks in June 2022!! Obviously this will no doubt change, but that has ruffled a lot of feathers!

Update. Called two service centres - first one said they can get me in on 18 October, no courtesy car availability until November, the second 25 October with courtesy car. The assistance guy was still outside, told him and he volunteered to call, he got an immediate slot and the car is now at the garage. It'll be interesting to see how quickly it is done and if anyone decides to use it (I have it linked to the app so can track usage).

For good measure, here’s the new wheels. Apart from this brake fluid problem I’m otherwise chuffed with the vehicle.

yep, I'm one of them!! Looking at alternatives now to see if there's anything else I like before I make a decision as whether to wait it out

Probably see more cancellations but this is the same all over, so it seems the consumer will be stuffed. I wouldn’t advise anyone to buy a used car due to the inflated prices but some will. I know I was lucky but if the right spec wasn’t available I’d be happy to wait.

I collected my VZ3 today, ordered it mid April. All the neighbours are curious to know what it is, even a Seat owner! I had to drive home with the blower on as I didn’t have a clue how to turn them off. I’ll post some pics in due course.

Definitely can see some cancellations coming as well. The problem is I ordered mine back in June when the prices were really competitive, if I decided to cancel now I wouldn't be able to get a car as good/spec it comes with as standard. I was advised originally from mid-October delivery, but I did say at the time I'm in no rush. As I paid cash for my current car, I'm lucky in that aspect that I can carry on using it till my Formentor arrives- which I'm planning on keeping as well. But it must be hard for people who are having to hand cars back, must be a nightmare!
