When did you order, when is it arriving?

Ordered a VZ3 late May and was also given a confirmed build week of 32. I’m getting exactly the same info as you from CUPRA- it’s half built, awaiting parts they don’t have, and no timescale on when it’s likely to be finished…

Ordered a V2 hybrid late May confirmed build week 31.used Cupra online chat today and as everyone else it’s still in production waiting parts with no indication of a delivery date. The only good news is they confirmed it will have the 12” screen as it’s week 31. Anything before week 40 is 12”. Still got a wall charger with nothing to plug into it though.

That’s great news considering our V2 is being built next week which is week 39. Was worried that if it got delayed waiting for a part they would stick a 10 inch screen instead.

Well, due to an ‘admin error’ my dealership didn’t place my vehicle order until several weeks after I signed for it. likely delivery now will be next year, possibly March! Trying to remain calm but absolutely steaming mad. Waiting for callback and a solution to their ‘error’

That is really bad. You may find their ‘error’ is actually them delaying putting the order through so it goes into another months sales figures. Either way you should be getting some form of compensation. I’d push for a free service plan.

Not good that mate, I’d be expecting some serious sucking up from them.

Do they need to? Worst case scenario he cancels his order. I’ve a feeling they’ll find someone else to sell it to. It’s a sellers market right now.

The sales manager is on the case now and has been very open about what went wrong. He is definitely doing everything he can to rectify the problem.

you’re right, they don’t NEED to, but they won’t want to tarnish their reputation. I’m sure they know that people take to forums, such as this one, and social media, and having someone slate them for poor service won’t do them any good.

Given the circumstances, I feel I have been very understanding with them, as they have with me since the issue was uncovered and they are pulling out all the stops to appease me, so for that I can’t fault them.

It’s good that they are. All of the sales people I’ve been dealing with in recent months couldn’t care less, I’ve been assuming because they just don’t need to.

Following the monumental screw-up by the dealership with my order, I had already started looking at alternatives. I found a V2 hybrid in-stock at a dealership in London, which they were willing to deliver to me this week. I went back to my dealership and they obviously didn’t want to loose the sale, so the sales manager did everything he could to appease me.
After a lot of phone calls and negotiations and some damage limitation by the dealership, they have found me a VZ2 hybrid 245, which is in transit to the UK. Never originally intended getting a hybrid, but here we are with one en-route. Should be with me in a few weeks.

Contacted cupra today and still no build date or even a projected one (ordered mid may)

Seriously looking for an alternative now,I really don't want to be waiting until Feb or march.
What model did you order. I’ve got a V2 ehybrid on order. Ordered end of May. Same story, no idea when it will be delivered.

Nice. Glad they’ve pulled out the stops. I’m envious as I’m waiting for a VZ2 hybrid.

Just found out that I now have an unconfirmed build slot in week 50 :( Initially, it was week 40, then week 38, and now week 50! Not looking too promising at the moment

That's better than me! Ordered 2nd June, I have a provisional build week of 23 next year! Almost a year after ordering it may be built!

He did say it may come down but bloody hell!

Wow that's horrendous! Is that from contacting Cupra? Things definitely seem to be getting worse, I don't understand how they allocate builds when people who ordered their cars before ours have got their car before ours. Probably due to parts/which model is more profitable but still

Yes, directly from Cupra.

Its a VZ2 with no options, you would think it is the most profitable model, there is no way the difference in engine is worth the £10,000 difference between this a the model below!

Looking on autotrader for a cheap runabout for 6 months! Do you think I can charge Cupra for it!

Exactly! Who knows what's really going on! I only optioned metallic paint on mine which you've thought when people are ordered a Formentor with sunroofs etc... wouldn't make a massive difference, but I guess it does. I'm lucky that I still have my current car that I don't owe anything on, but people who have cars going back etc... it's a big issue. That would be amazing if they did! :ROFLMAO:
