I've used the search function and also had a look on google but struggling to find an answer to this.
I love the start-stop function as I spend a lot of time on the M25 car park and regularly spend 15-30 seconds stopped at a time. I am be-grudged to turn the system off completely, however I am noticing 2 annoying things about it that are making me consider disabling it.
1. It starts the engine when the car in front moves off even though I haven't touched the clutch pedal, sometimes its so sensitive it starts when the car in front of the car in front moves away. (at first i thought it was picking up the adjacent lane cars but it's now done it on single carriageway also with no adjacent traffic)
2. If you even gently touch the steering wheel it restarts the engine. For example, sometimes pressing the next track button, I move the steering wheel accidentally 1 or 2 degrees and it starts the engine.
Does anyone know a way to edit the settings of the system? Maybe through an OBD modifier?
I've checked the settings in the central screen as well as the owners manual and it just states: 'In vehicles with ACC function, the engine will start up again in certain operating conditions if the radar sensor detects that the vehicle ahead drives off again.'
But there's no mention of editing the settings of it.
My car is 2018 Cupra with ACC & a manual gearbox if that makes any difference to available settings.
Thanks for any help!
