I have been looking on comparison sites/direct for my second year quote but not sure what to put for the value for how much is the car worth question, the first year I put the price that I bought the car for but I now have ALA GAP insurance, do I just go with the value they automatically think it is?

I'm not sure it makes much difference but I would potentially look at a quote with the price they suggest and also a quote with the price you bought the vehicle for.

From experience any time there has been a claim they will use an "expert" valuation (which is usually average cost on auto trader for similar vehicles with the same features and mileage) for the cars current value rather than what was input at the start of the term.

MoneySuperMarket suggests the value is £10.1k and I bought the car for £13.2k and the insurance price difference is £23 with Hastings but car prices have gone up quite a bit, looking on Autotrader and higher mileage and lower spec is around £14k.
