So today I noticed that when I park the car and turn it off and indicate, the DRL light turns on to the side that I indicated to. Is this a feature cuz I can’t find anything in the manual or on the internet.
Yeah its a feature and it should do that. If memory serves it should only do it if you put the indicator on after turning the ignition off, in fact you may even need to remove the key. I have a PDF manual somewhere....
It’s a standard VAG feature and has been for many generations. All my VW‘s have had this, at least from the mk5 Golf era and I think my 2002 mk4 Golf may have had it too.

It’s been a feature on cars for at least the last 40 years - I used inadvertently do it on my Fiesta in the early ‘80’s by knocking the indicator stalk (on the right then) with my leg as I got out. I think it’s still a legal requirement to put on parking lights on unlit roads.
