I posted on the 'Build Progress' thread before spotting this. We ordered our V2 TSI Petrol 150 6-speed manual on 6th July from a local dealer. He had a list of pre-built models available "in 4-5 weeks". Around 3-4 weeks ago he told us he THOUGHT ours was aboard the Aquarius Ace, albeit SEAT customer services were being less than helpful. Having tracked the carrier via vesselfinder.com right up to its arrival in Grimsby on 7th August, it turned out that our vehicle was still in Barcelona. He's since confirmed that ours is aboard Crystal Ace which is currently moored in Setubal having left Barcelona on Tuesday. He tells us that once the vehicles are in the UK, they can take from 3-10 days to arrive with him and he can turn them around in a couple of days.

Just in time for the 71 plate 1st September mine arrived a couple of days ago into the uk.i should get it fist week of September.

First impressions are it's great!!. Drove literally 300metres to fill up with petrol and had chap eyeballing it for ages before wandering across to ask what it was...I educated him when his response to me telling him it waa a Cupra was ' oh thats a Seat'....even though all my paperwork has Seat all over it..never mind

What format does the SLI number take? e.g 123##45x?
I have been trying to get the SLI number from the dealership for 2 weeks and I’m being told that Seat are “updating” something?

Mine was just SLI followed by 8 digits. No special characters or letters.
Thanks for that mate. I don’t know if it’s the dealership being shockingly slow or Seat/Cupra, but trying to get an update is like pulling teeth and not filling me with any confidence whatsoever!
I chatted to Cupra customer service last week, gave them the SLI and they gave an instant answer as to the car’s whereabouts. It wasn’t good news and I’ve now decided not to bother anymore.
There’s limited cars of all makes in stock. If you make a factory order of any make now you’re going to the back of a very long cue as all manufacturers are suffering because of the chip shortage.

Hi Guys, I'm new here, though I was following your discussions about delivery times, trying to estimate when I can expect my Formentor. Just received confirmation, that production of my Formentor 190HP ordered mid June should start mid September. Therefore my dealer says it should be delivered in October.
When I asked if it is possible that built car would wait in Martorell for microchip or some other missing part, he said that it is no longer possible, because Cupra currently starts building a particular car, when has all necessary parts. Maybe that's why waiting for production date takes longer than few months ago.

Maybe there is a glimmer of hope for those of us who have ordered the 190? I was originally told that Cupra were only starting building the 190 models in September, so maybe there was an element of truth in that! Just wish I had confidence in my dealership, as I have still had no reply to my email from almost 2 weeks ago, confirming whether or not my order with Cupra was confirmed!
It's possible! That would explain why there are no test drives of 190 version on YouTube, besides one from Slovakia.
Finally some news! Dealer sent the registration documents (71 Plate) to me today with delivery on the 1st September

I ordered my V2 190 on 19th April and collected it last week (14th August) so exactly 16weeks. I wonder if things are speeding up because I had been given a revised build date of this week (from late June at ordering). The dealer told me that they got no deliveries of orders for the whole of July
What do you make of the engine? Never got to try that spec on the test drive but ordered the 190 in the hopes of it being a bit quicker feeling than the 150 and getting the 4 drive system.
