Did you call assistance or dealer/broker who delivered the car? I would not accept driving brand new car for couple of weeks in summer without air con.

If they missed that on the PDI I’d be worried about what else they missed. Pretty fundamental IMO.
Personally, I’d be parking it up outside their front door until someone looked at it not waiting 2 weeks, that’s unacceptable.

Broker said there is nothing they can do. I would have to call the main dealer and have it looked at. Tried calling assistance but wouldn't go through. The issue is my nearest dealer is about 40 minutes drive away

I agree however the nearest dealer is about 30 minutes drive away and I just don't have the time right now. Otherwise I would have gone this weekend .

How long did you call assistance for, and was it through the vehicle’s in built system? I believe they have 24/7 call centres and should respond within about 30 seconds...

As above poster, you absolutely should not wait two weeks to have something as fundamental as this rectified (or even looked at)!

That sounds odd. Why would the car need to know how much gas is in the system? And if so it should tell you there’s a fault!

To stop any damage to the components by running it dry. And the car does tell you there’s a fault you need a diagnostic machine so the car tells you what system the error is on…
Hence how they found and fixed the problem under warranty.

The issue was a faulty sensor hence the car didn't know how much gas was in the system according to the mechanic.
Glad it’s been sorted. Sod’s law we won’t get another hot day this year lol
How are you enjoying the car so far?

Wouldn't be surprised if we are done with the heatwave for this year . Except for the ACC/travel assist which can be annoying especially on motorway drives , can't really fault the car. Oh also the AC issue I had lol. Hoping to travel to Cornwall next month from London , can't wait !!

Hi All , I'm back again . Does anyone else experience a slight knocking sound when AC is on ? I took the car to the dealer to investigate however I was told it's expected for hybrid models!!! Anyone else face a similar issue?? This is only for Hybrid models I have been told .

Hello David, Have you found a solution? I have a 2022 Formentor. The same banging sound and the air conditioning then stops supplying cold air.

Sometimes the air conditioning continues to work on colder days, but the knock remains

Hello Darren, we took out the airco gas and filled it back up to the right amount. there was about 50gr too much in it. because of that there was too much pressure in the system and you could hear the valve open and close.
