Formentor Tyre Pressure

Guys, I have a fresh new Formentor, got in June, so I doubt that pressuse has reduced since has been consigned, however, on stick/label attached on car, it says:
- normal load 2.6 bar (KPa/bar --> 260/2.6/38)
- heavy load 2.9 bar (KPa/bar --> 290/2.9/42)

my tyres are 245 /45 R 18 W (96W) Continental EcoContact 6

apart that I do not understand what does mean /38 & /42, today I've checked and I got 3.0 bar on all 4 tyres, it was a cold-check, but I have 30 degrees actually even in my box

question: if this has been set by the Cupra car dealer, should be correct ? Should I be concerned and lower to 2.6 ?

any suggestion is much appreciate

/38 & /42,= PSI -Its jut another way to measure tyre pressure
If you gauge uses BAR the set at 2.6 or 2.9

I doubt you will have any issues if you keep it at 3 bar, other than the car being slightly less comfortable.

But in your situation, I would lower the pressure to 2.6 bar.

The recommended pressures are just that; a recommendation from the manufacturer; but they're also a compromise between competing dynamic behaviours. Within limits (say +/- 10% as a maximum) you can vary the pressures to suit your own preferences; i.e. slightly lower for better ride comfort, slightly higher for sharper steering.

When i picked up my VZ2 310 tyre pressures were 45psi all round
Door label says 39psi normal for two up and 44psiwhen fully loaded
I adjusted mine to 40psi .

I've been over 1500 km now, therefore I had to go to the service for the very first check (the head-quarters not the car dealer)
however, when technician found out that tyres pressure was 3.0 bar he was a bit shocked, he apologizes and set it at 2.65 bar

I must admit, now my car is very very silent hitting the small potholes, irregularities on the city road and is more comfortable than before on driving

I wondering why the car dealer did this big mistake, 3.0 bar would have sense for a full-loaded car with a trailer, instead I drive lonely rarely with 1 passenger

They don't give you a 3rd comfort setting on the sticky which you ignore (soft). Perhaps with dynamic suspension they don't do that

Golden Rule No. 1 when getting a new car. Check the tyre pressures. They are pumped up very hard from the factory - often as high as 50PSI / 3.8 Bar. That makes the ride hard and noisy. Should of cours ebe checked at the PDI, but hey, car dealers, you know...

The golden rule is always check them whenever anyone has been near them with your own trusty digital tyre gauge (the one you trust) and obviously check them regularly. With lockdown(s) was startled to find I needed to add fuel after three months .... cars use fuel that can't be right.
