Agreed. I think with new cars that qualify it should be seamless, automatic, and you should be given confirmation - but the latter is something SEAT seem very lax about in general. Audi give you an AA plastic card to keep in the car as proof of roadside cover, from SEAT, zilch. You juts have to take it on trust.

I can see whay for ex-demos there may need to be manual intervention, but it should still be a known at the dealer, but in my case I only chased it up after reading this tread.

After writing back to confirm what is actually coved under CUPRA Care I have had this quick reply:

CUPRA Care Includes

The first three manufacturer scheduled services
A pollen filter and brake fluid change if required
Three years UK and European roadside assistance coverage

The number for roadside is the same as SEAT 0800 26 26 22.

I have double checked with CUPRA and no documents are provided with CUPRA Care,

Once CUPRA Care has been setup on the system, the Specialist will be able to access this when your vehicle goes in for Servicing and MOT.

It could be that most cars these days are bought through some sort of finance arrangement where VWFS are involved. VWFS automatically set these cars up on the CupraCare database (which I believe that they administer). Those eligible cars which don’t involve VWFS financing need to be set up by the dealer advising VWFS details of the sale so VWFS can then add the car to the database. Maybe the dealer is unaware / forgets to do this??

My car was bought on a VWFS finance deal rather than a bank loan. No mention of Cupra Care, and I bought the dealer principals car.

I've only just seen this thread. I'm collecting a November 2020 Cupra leon ehybrid on Sunday and wasn't told about Cupracare. It's an ex demo with 6k miles. After reading the thread, it looks like the car should have this.
I always pay cash but was advised by the salesman to take £3k finance so that I got 2 free services but from reading the thread, it looks as if I should have had 3 years included anyway without having to take any finance.
I don't like the idea of finance and would have paid it off asap but I think I will speak to someone about this as the way I've understood the thread, I could pay for the car in cash as I normally do and get Cupracare.

After reading the Cupra website, it looks like it is only the ATECA that qualifies

Yep, you should do. Any problems do what I did - email [email protected] with screenshot of terry99's post. Took maybe 2 weeks start to finish for me to get confirmation from the dealer.

Thanks. I sent an email before checking the Cupra website. It says not available for the Leon and Formentor but I will see what they say when they reply. I've included the reg number.
