Loads of wheelspin on launch control

So I’ve got a Cupra 290 (2020) and have Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S fitted on the front wheels and even in 21 degrees on a dry road I cannot put the power down, I basically just do a burnout and get wheel hop making that awful banging through the dash when I use launch control. It was worth with the continentals that came with it but despite have Michelin PS4S which are 100x better than the continentals in every other aspect, I still can’t put the power down.
anyone know any solutions?
im also running a completely stock engine.

Never used launch control on my 280 as thats all it did, was light the wheels up. Safe to say my 300 doesnt have this issue. Dont really use it that much as it puts a lot of wear on the clutch packs.

Uprate the mount mate but be prepared for more nvh, revo do a complete kit all 3 mounts, you womt cure the spin thoniys a feature on the cupra haha

I’ve only managed to get one good launch so far, yeah I don’t wanna ruin the clutch anytime soon so I’ve only done it a handful of times. That’s strange the 300 doesn’t do it though, you would’ve thought more power would make it worse

However in a traffic light grand prix take the stats from 2wd vs 4wd, there is a reason FWD takes the extra 2 seconds to 60mph. Just science

I remember a mate fitted traction/launch control to his modified ep3 civic, he could adjust the amount of slip the computer would allow according to conditions, perhaps the Seat system is set to allow a lot of slip to help preserve a road car gearbox etc?
Can it be adjusted using sneaky electronic trickery.

Even from a standstill i can successfully launch my manual 290 with 0 wheel spin, all to do with throttle control, 4wd is faster at the lights because theres 4 wheels launching it as apose to the front 2 dragging it, if your gunna buy a 4wd dont buy mqb buy a proper 4wd evo or something

With my mates Civic it was throttle the floor and drop the clutch, car takes control of the rest, if you lift the throttle it ain’t controlling the launch.

Yeeah launch control is really not the term for it.. "stand looking like a goober taking 1k miles of your tyres and rattling your fillings out" mode is probably more appropriate term.

I have found it can get a slightly better launch but as others say throttle control is key, plant your foot you aint going anywhere, if you can release the brake with the engine at about 1.8 - 2k rpm then usually that is the limit i have found for minimal wheelspin but even then i don't feel like it makes for a significantly faster launch.

its my only annoyance with DSG, lack of a clutch you can use to grade power in. But then flip side i love the instant changes so swings and roundabouts eh

It would be easier to do with a manual I think but with the auto I either just basically do a burnout or get loads of wheel hop and it doesn’t really go anywhere

If you mash the throttle and keep it mashed during launch control, you're gonna have a bad time.

Much better off mashing the throttle pre-launch and then managing the throttle once you move off. Otherwise you get the death judder or useless wheelspin!

Annoyingly I’ve not had a chance to try it in any ideal situations so I’ve got a mixture of wheel spin, death judder and then it just bogs downI was hoping during summer I might get a chance but all we’ve had is rain so far

If launch control just lets the front tyres spin away then what on earth is its point?
I thought launch control reduced wheel slip to get a better 'launch'?
