See the new engine does it come with timing belt already fitted?

so surely then as it’s a 1.4 TSI and they stopped the 1.4 TSI in 2018 is it a 2018 engine so in theory the timing belt is already 3 years old.

as rubber perishes it’s always replace on time or mileage whatever comes first, so in theory could require a new timing belt next year and we already know SEAT aren’t very good with that?!
This engine is still being manufactured. They use it in the vag group hybrids. Not sure why they don't use the 1.5 🤔

Update: Had contact back from Seat Customer Service but nothing definitive to report yet. The representative was going to contact the dealership for clarification of some details so I can find out exactly what warranty I have on the new engine and the work done as even he wasn't sure! I've not heard anything from them since last Monday (7th May) so I'll be giving them a bell tomorrow (14th) to see what's happening. On a different note though, was travelling down a local bypass on Saturday afternoon and I commented to the wife about a horrid smell we got briefly through the vents. Next thing the vehicle behind is flashing me and at the next exit, they peeled off after me, the kind driver said there was a foul smell came from my car and stuff came out of the exhaust too! I stopped at the next opportunity and had a look under the bonnet, nothing seemed out of place or obvious and the exhaust tips were dry, not wet or dirty inside. I took it easy on the journey home and had a better look this morning (Sunday). I couldn't get a reading off of the dipstick, the oil was passed maximum. Luckily I have an oil extractor here so I drew out approx ½ litre and dipped again. Oil level was still above max at this point so I drew out another 250ml or so. I could now read the oil level on the stick and it was near the top of the dimpled area, so I reckon the car had between ½ to ¾ litre too much oil. Now bearing in mind I've done about 150 miles since getting the car back, albeit nearly all at 30mph or less, should I be worried about possible catalyst damage? I've took some photos of the dipstick before and after and I'll definitely be saying to customer services when I phone them tomorrow. You'd have thought given the nature of the job, new engine, failed cambelt tensioner etc. that the dealership would have pulled out all the stops to make sure things were done right this time around! Seems not, I'm not impressed, faith in the car and the dealership is well and truly dented now!

Yep, done it in my drive, I'm a bit OCD so I had checked, double checked, triple... the oil level before deciding to draw some out with the extractor. I find the dipstick hard to read, so I drew out more oil to bring the level down onto the dimpled portion of the stick. So to get the after image below, I drew out approximately 750ml in total. I'll run around for a few days like this and will add a few ml from a 1 litre top up bottle of Castrol Edge I have to take it back up to just off maximum. I'm more concerned though to the potential damage to the cat from driving with too much oil.
As for the smell, its a mystery, It might have been from my car, it could have been from somewhere else, but the driver behind did say stuff came out of my exhaust at the same time as the smell was smelt.
