Just bear in mind, Cupra is a Spanish brand and manufacturer and all manufacturing in that country tends to close down for most of August. If you're lucky, you may get a build before the break, but I suspect that is what is behind the Sept/Oct delivery timescales? Keep you're fingers crossed that the semiconductor shortage doesn't affect build plans too, I see Mini has just announced a plant shutdown due to lack of chips, joining many others.

I ordered through Leasing Options and the dealer is still saying the car is due in to them around 5th July, but with every email update the dreaded “this is only an approximate date and could change” seems to be all I take from it.
Ah well, we’re living in strange times and I suppose waiting for a new car isn’t really a “problem” when you look around you.
ive just had this with my order,ordered on the 12th April promised first week of October ,cupra told me today week 48 !! i have been told this is very likely to move forward quite a bit so not to worry.also no issues so far with chips supply ,,,,or so i was told.
I’ve yet too ask for an update. Ordered VZ3 end of April and told 12-14weeks from the leasing company. Wasn’t too bothered about this as quite happy to wait until September for the new plate change. Might give them a ring tomorrow and see if I can deal with the dealership direct for delivery info.

they are a very large company ,not personally dealt with them ,ive used select car and gateway2lease in the past.
I rang customer services for an update and was told my order has no build date allotted and the end of November was likely. They said it was nothing to do with the semi conductor shortage but due to the popularity of the Formentor!
i was told the same by supplier and cupra .the only thing supplier said was it will be earlier he seemed very confident !!
