My car is in for the problem solving software update today.
Got a FZ2 as a courtesy car.
Mine is an FZ Edition so has the Brembo brakes, the Brakes on this one are not good. Really lacking in bite.

Brembo’s are very much an option worth ticking.
Thanks Craig, I’m so glad I choose the VZ2 instead of the VZ3 that has Brendon brakes 🤔, hopefully your cars issues get fixed today so you can enjoy it fully. I hope to get my Formentor early next month 🤞

Us poor VZ2 owners have to put up with lesser stopping power I guess, but we avoid the dreaded Brembo 'squeak' and pad wear issues found with other SEAT/Cupra models (as well as Alfas).

Haha now now let's not start a civil war within the community ' my brakes are better than your brakes' ha. I simply opted for the VZ2 because I didn't feel like the extra things were essential for the outlay it would have cost for me and my drivingifestyle. The VZ2 brakes are sufficient enough for me.

I'm curious how strong the Brembos are.

There is a G meter in the car :) and you can view maximum values. When I get a chance I'll do a "emergency stop" from 60mph.

To continue with the theme of this thread, I've discovered how to access alternate views on side parts of the dashboard. When you have a "arrow" show up on the left or right side, you need to press button that corresponds to that side and it will open up a menu. For example on G forces widget you can select current, maximum or last values.

I fear a lot of people may miss this too ( took a couple of days with messing around to find the 'hidden' data. ( When you press left or right on your steering wheel dashboard command if the graphic then shows an arrow there are numerous graphics you can cycle through with the options'

I know it's not very accurate but has anyone used the ' lap timer' setting in the middle of your dash when you press 'ok' when launching the car and timed it that way? ( I realise you would have to be very good at multi tasking pressing it as soon as you set off on launch and press it again when you hit 62mph with the reactions of a cat). Just thought without specialist timing gear would be a way. Or does anyone have any apps they know have that are good to use for 0-62 times?

Shame really that there isn't a timer built in that automatically times it when you set it up to launch

By the way I'm sure there will be some of you that didn't realise the Formentor ( I assume all models) has gesture control for the infotainment. Now the only gesture control that I've discovered/ used it swiping from left to right. I've tried gesturing volume ' wagging my finger round in a circle like for BMW's) but this hasn't worked. I'm not sure how extensive the gesture control is but yeah you can swipe across menus and sub menus etc by putting your hand palm facing the heating/ voulme touchpads/ bottom of screen and move it left and right.

This wasn’t a “my cars better than yours” claim, everyone has different priorities, wants and preferences.
I merely was running a back to back comparison.

For context I‘m used to having really high quality brakes on my fast cars (and where I haven’t had that have regularly upgraded), so have relatively high expectations.
Maybe they aren’t required for everyone, and that’s fine, but for me it’s an important element in a fast car to have brakes that are equal to the performance.

@CupraCraig I know mate, was a more tongue in cheek comment. We're just jealous we haven't got the brembos ha

On my way home this morning in my VZ2 I followed an Audi A3 who was following another VZ2. I don’t think the Audi driver had a clue what was in front or behind him.

Also couldn’t resist opening mine up on a nice piece of Dual Carriageway to pass the other VZ2 which I know is quite a bit younger than mine but I’ve just topped 1000miles and im guessing they are still taking it easy.
