I spent some more time and managed to get prices shown on a screen, but it's not looking the same like on Cupra website and price is not visible, because it's too long. Also it's limited to looking for petrol station around you, not anywhere else. I wrote to Cupra for more explanation.

See below what I got. I blurred map and addresses to avoid showing my location.

When you click search on the navigation, you are presented with keyboard and some icons above it. You can choose petrol station icon and it will show you results visible on next print screen.

PetrolSearch_01.jpg

Then you click on Petrol Station Nearby.

PetrolSearch_02.jpg

Now it's showing nearby stations and if you want to see list of them, you have to click on left arrow, to extend that list to the whole screen.

PetrolSearch_03.jpg

Finally we have list of petrol stations and price and distance on the right. There's just one small problem, you can't see the price, because there's GBP in front of this and takes space available on the screen. The only way to see more, is to click on that petrol station and then scroll down to see prices.

PetrolSearch_04.jpg

For some petrol stations it's showing SU, instead of unleaded. Not sure what SU is, but because it's shorter word, you can see the price. Sorry for a bit blurred picture.

I forwarded the link of this thread to Cupra, maybe they can work on fixing not fully visible price.
So much free space yet they kept the price fully to the right resulting in price being outside of the screen. Hopefully they can push a software upgrade to fix these type of niggles.

Looking at the image in your original post, the icon in the top left of the screen appears to suggest it was a spoken command. Have you tried asking the for the fuel prices? I think you have to activate it by saying something like ‘Hola Hola’. I can’t test it as I’m still waiting for mine to arrive!

How do you set the auxillary heater? All I see on cupra connect is ventilation. And departure times do they do the same thing? Just fresh air in the car? In the 'help section' on cupra connect there is a list of all the things you can apparently do, it says ' remote auxillary heating- Preheat your vehicle on a cold day while your having your breakfast. The service even lets you set departure times so you will never have to get into a cold and frosty car again'.

Now there is an option for departure times in the app when you click on that it lets you set the departure time you want and ' plan in advance' where do you actually set the temperature you want? or does it just automatically gauge the temperature of the car etc and the temperature you need for it to be comfortable when you get in and do an automatic temperature?

We don't get it in the VZ. Apparently there is no room in the engine bay. Not sure if that is the true, but VZ 310 hp does not have remote preheating.

It's a feature I would have liked. At least I have heated steering wheel now. I have heated seats in my Leon but my wheel is not heated. This was a major annoyance I had with the car.

Have you tried to see whether it works as a one off?

So it just plainly isn't available in the Formentor VZ2 and above? Think the frosty mornings are behind us otherwise I would have experimented with the ' departure times' option.

So has anyone played around with the 'ventilation setting' or the ' departure time setting'? What do they actually do?

I don't see ' remote auxillary heating- anywhere' just 'ventilation' which looks like immediate ventilation and 'departure times' which looks like it just takes you to a pre planned ventilation. I.e you can set it for 7.30 am every morning in advance

It's plainly not available. At least in the catalogue I have (EU country).

V-level cars have it as an option. VZ "not available".

I think it may be an option on the plug-in hybrids, using the electricity to pre-heat the interior. Otherwise, it would need to run the engine unattended and I don't think that would be a good idea?

It's an option on non hybrids as well. There is some type of auxiliary heater. I don't think it starts the engine.

I am not sure of exact models that get it or not, in my country there are two trim levels VZ and non VZ. Non VZ trim has slower engines (not EA888) and can select an option for remote preheating. VZ trim can't.

Here is a global catalogue. Just search "parking heater" - https://www.cupraofficial.com/content/dam/global/cupra-website/generic/pdf/cupra-formentor.pdf

Reading it in detail, apparently you get it as standard on Hybrids and you can option it on 4WD non VZ cars. Whatever that may be.

No worries, yeah I guess it makes sense as has been mentioned I would imagine some serious energy would have to be used to get it running without the engine on. Would have been a good thing to have though on those wintery days in Britain but hey ho.

So for uk cars there is no way to pre heat the car? I am sure lot of other petrol cars do have this option.

I worked out how to check petrol prices at different locations, but it's not something to be done while driving. It's simply dangerous and difficult to type or click on the screen.

To get petrol prices at certain location, you have to click petrol station icon on keyboard, as in my previous post and then type location.

I was able to check prices in Germany and Poland. However, again actual price is obscured depending on how the fuel is named. In Germany, type of fuel has short name like on the picture below. But in Poland it simply says Unleaded, like in UK, so name is so long, that price is not visible.

So - less than a week since my Cupra Connect ran out and today the car has decided it has no primary user.
This is after an almost daily shutdown and reboot by the system whilst driving.

If this is Cupra/SEAT trying to blackmail people in to renewing connect - it has failed.

Seriously ready to get rid now

Interesting it says washer fluid level indicator is standard, so don't believe everything that Cupra print.
