Do I need a DPF delete before getting a straight pipe?

Hi,

I was looking to get a straight pipe for my MK2 2010 1.9TDI eco Leon. Although will I need to delete the DPF before getting the exhaust?

If so would it be better getting it gutted or just flat out removed? I know it can fail mot...

Does the 1.9 have a DPF?

Having it properly gutted should still pass MOT, it's a visual inspection and if they can't see any signs of tampering it's not a fail.

What's the rough cost of gutting the dpf?

Couple hundred quid or so? Maybe less if you find a place that does them often.

Best ring round a few local tuners, see if they can do it or suggest someone that can.

cheers mate, was also thinking of getting a dual exit straight pipe, any recommendations?
