Hi guys,

I’m going to test drive this car on Sunday. It’s a 2018 FR 1.8 Tsi. I’m not sure if it’s just these particular photos but this looks much brighter than the other mystery blue cars from 2017? Did they change the colour on the 2018 models does anyone know? It doesn’t look as metallic as the others I’ve seen also. I mean I’ll be going to see it Sunday so I’ll know how it looks in person, it just looks weird in these photos.

Cheers

Mystery blue is a lovely colour, and when looking through Autotrader, I've noticed that its colour varies so much.

If I didn't know that the two below were Mystery blue, I would be put off by the colour the second photo shows.

Yeah that’s a huge difference. I have to say that I prefer the darker shade too but I guess I will have to see it in the flesh when I get there. It does look slightly darker on the photos of the rear of the car so I’m hoping I’ll like it when I see it.

It is a strange colour, sun shining looks light and bright, then sometimes it has a purple hue about it.

Sunlight can really make it look brighter, almost a different colour but that's definitely Mystery Blue. So much better when it's dark and the metallic pops. I don't think photos do the colour justice though tbh.

Def not mediteranean Blue, that colour used to come free to Seat cars, for a reason, before Seat made free colour choice. As the colour suggests, mystery blue, looks different depending on conditions / camera exposure / white balance...I've seen mystery blue under the lights in a showroom, and it's the dark-ish...similar to Golf R blue...

Lapiz Blue the Golf R is, would not suprise me if they were actually the same colour.

also very similr to Audi’s Scuba blue, would also not be suprised if that was also the same colour
