OK some fiddly bits this morning...

Mocked up a gearbox...

Then made a roll cage basic frame, hopefully I measured twice and cut once when I try and put it in.

Just sprayed the wheels, chair and nos chamber black in prep. The car is ready for its first of many yellow coats along with the interior.

That's an insane level of detail! I had to look twice to find the gearstick in the pic. :ROFLMAO:

Did some tiny bits on the tyres... Bit of white paint and a steady hand, also a mock up of the rear wheel arches

Blimey, that must be near impossible on 1.43 scale tyres? Well done. (y)
Let's say I didn't breathe or blink during the whole thing... The racemaster bits I think may need touching up as they're harder due to being smaller than the MH and the letters are not ideal haha

Nice and early start today... Got some intricate stuff to paint and glue in the rear wheel sections.

First the housing for the suspension etc they seem to fit OK may need holding in to glue but other than that I'm happy.
IMG_20200926_090315.jpg

Now the fun bit... Suspension, to give you an idea this is the size of the spring I've got to hold and paint 3 times for each side lol
IMG_20200926_092727.jpg

Then onto each end of the spring I need to paint and glue together and somehow attach to the wheel and car without gluing myself to it...

So a few tiny bits done today...

Attached the speedo thing to the steering wheel (needs painting black again), then added some rear bars on the roll cage.
IMG_20200927_190751.jpg

Mocked a front bit of plastic to cover the bottom of the front bumper
IMG_20200927_191712.jpg

Attached the exhaust to the bonnet
IMG_20200927_191128.jpg

Painted the rear windows with a thicker black line to match the pics
IMG_20200927_190808.jpg

Glued 3 rear springs before painting as the paint makes it tough to glue in place... Good job I only need 2...

Who is doing the decals? I'm still looking for a decent supplier for my BTCC/WTCC Leon collection.
