Can anybody who has had a res delete done to their 290 GPF post any videos? I've looked on youtube and it doesn't really give much away, all I can really find is a Cobra Sport video but that didn't show much off.

Thanks

I did it a couple of months ago. I was expecting a lot. Nope. Almost the same. But when I came back to the workshop to pick up the car mechanic asked me why didn't I put an exhaust flap before the rear silencer. And there it was standing on his table, for only 140 euros, mounting included. Couldn't resist. 15 minutes later I had it installed. Now, that made a huge difference. I push a button to open it and car gets into MONSTER mode. Pops, bangs, farts and stuff. Almost straight pipe (it still has a GPF). If you are going to spend 200+ pounds on just a res delete sincerely its not worth it. It does sound a bit better but thats probably not what you are looking for. It is really hard to record how much louder it sounds with an iphone but I promise I will use my professional sound recorder and post the sound here just so you can have a picture of difference with res delete with flap closed and with flap open.

It is actually kind of hard to find. There are a lot of different kinds, some of which require you to make the manifold to mount them on.
Funny that the my guy had was a perfect fit because I was looking for one for like 6 months.
Should look like this, mine is a handmade part from Turkey so I can't really find a similar one on the internet. It is a bit different from this one because the valved pipe is bent down a bit to avoid burning the underside of the car with exhaust gasses. It has a side effect of a "Whoosh" sound when going high speed at high revs probably because it is disturbing the airflow underneath the car. Probably creating some lift also.

Might have to have a look in to the valve. How many miles did you have on your car when you did the res delete?

This sounds interesting I'd like more info too. When you can please post a video/sound clip. A couple of pics from under the car wouldn't hurt either.
