We did warn you to be fair before you pulled the trigger on it.Nightmare. So I have the ‘fixed’ engine right!?
I need to get it booked in anyway as the boot is hard to close. Think the catch needs adjusting.

About all you can do is raise it with the dealership and hope and pray they get a fix and software update at some point but I wouldn’t hold your breathYou did and I naively thought “oh they’ll have sorted these issues, what with it being such a highly used engine”
I’ll try and find the engine code shortly.
I wasn’t aware of a SEAT app and what is a SET account haha!?
The lady on reception at service seemed to know what I was on about but then proceeded to say that my car has nothing outstanding to be done.
Small garages don’t have access to the dealer portals. This is one of the downsides of using non dealer company’s. You might be able to phone vw Uk and tell them it’s been done and see if they are aloud to update the DSR

In that case feel free to take that link to your local garage and ask them to update the record. Keep us updated on when it’s done I’d be quite interested to see how you get on.
In all fairness your friend should of mentioned the DSR at the time of booking and not assumed anything. In my eyes it’s not the garages fault. They done the work that was asked for and nothing else. Had the DSR been mentioned prior to them working on the car this wouldn’t of happened. I’ve had to deal with this afew times at vw. People coming to me to ask to update the records for work someone else has done.
Oh yes, I agree with that part, ie correct parts and procedures and VAT reg'd as that is the agreed minimum qualifying terms for getting work carried out outside any marque's dealership circuit. I'd expect none of the above to be itemised in my mate's garage bill, but I could be wrong - they will be VAT reg'd though. If the garage who did the work have provided receipts showing the correct parts used, the correct grade oil used and is vat registered, which he has kept obviously a VW dealer should accept these as continuation of service for warranty purpose, digital records are another way for them to lock out the indie and enable them to charge ridiculous prices.
VW say the problem is fixed and no further measures are planned...
Except it’s not fixed though is it....
They maybe have had more success with the 1.5 150 “fixes”
But same can’t be said for those of us with the 1.5 130 .... I’m still having problems early in the mornings and with flat spots/hesitation issues.
hence why this is probably my last Vw car and why I keep refusing my dealerships offer to try the new mk4 Leon.
put the old 1.4 COD engine back in it and I’d order one tomorrow!
So my car (engine code DPCA), definitely has some sort of issue when cold and in first gear. It’s not down to my driving and I’ve had 4 Leons now so I know what is normal, and what is not. Interestingly, I’ve noticed that when you first start the car after it’s been sitting for a while, the revs will climb to somewhere between 1200-1400 and flutter about. After 30 seconds or so they settle down to 1000. Then subsequent starts, the engine ideal around 800.
If you were to pull away within the first 30 seconds when the car is fluttering around the 1200-1400 rev range, you will have a ‘kangaroo’ first gear for a short while, and in my opinion the car is flat throughout the journey.
However, if you wait until the revs settle to 1000ish there is no ‘kangaroo’ the engine is punchy and just as much fun as the 1.4 150 I had before.
Wherever there is any truth in this I don’t know, I’ll let you be the verdict.
