Brake discs and pads for leon fr 2011

Hey,

need some help please, I need to get full disc and pad replacement but I am having trouble finding out my sizing, where can I find this to be sure I get correct ones? I have been looking at euro car parts at the pagid range, unless anyone has any other recommendations

The diesel FR has 312 x 25mm discs on the front. At the rear the OE discs are 255 x 10mm but a quite a few manufacturers supply a 253mm disc and that's fine to use.

I know it's a bit of a pain (especially if you have the same rain we have at the moment)... but you can just measure the discs with a ruler. Doesn't have to be exact... if they are wider than the 30cm ruler, you know to get the 312, if it's slightly less than the ruler get the 288.

If it's a CR170 they'll be 312mm. Not sure what discs the CR140 FR uses but I don't think that was introduced until 2012.

Can I ask if if makes a difference that there 312 / 22 and not 25?
Same with rear there 253 / 8 and not 10?

22mm and 8mm for the front and rear respectively is the minimum thickness the discs can be worn to before they need to be replaced.

You won't find new discs in those thicknesses.

Yeah I was thinking that as it did say min thickness along side it but I wanted to be sure.

I did the measure thing and my discs look to be over 30 so will get the 312mm for front but then I been looking through my car paperwork and when I had my pads changed few years back I got pads for the front for the 288 and they were fitted fine, now I face a dilemma? Lol ..

If memory serves I think the pad fitment is the same from the 288 to 312 setups. The carriers on the 312 setup just hold the pad further outwards.

They have different OE part numbers as the pad compounds would have been slightly different originally but I wouldn't be surprised if some aftermarket pad manufacturers just lumped them together and made a single pad.

The OE part number for the 312 pads is 3C0698151C. As long as the pads you're looking at cross reference against that they'll fit properly.
